"This is probably the most full I have ever left a restaurant. I was still full all the next morning, which is unusual for me. But I had absolutely no regrets, what a feast we had!"

We from Wandsworth Arts Fringe’s Stunning Meara The Dukes Head!
The rowing club ain't what you think it is. I was in there ages and never even had an argument.
My sister was proposed to here yesterday, it was all a big surprise and they staff went out of their way to help as much as possible. Most people had food and really enjoyed it and all the beer, prosecco and champagne went down very well too! Great venue downstairs in The Rowing Club for any private occasions. Thank you again Mantus (sp?) who looked after us all day.
Lovely atmosphere, will be back for sure
I was also at my granddaughters surprise proposal, lovely staff, great food and very helpful. Great venue would recommend to anyone. As my other granddaughter Charlotte said lots of presecco, beer and wine. Wonderful time made all the better by the great atmosphere
I usually don’t like cod and chips till I tried at Dukes head.It was absolutely amazing and tasty and the cod was meaty not too much thick batter and mushy peas was delightful over all was a excellent Sunday lunch with a very friendly service .
Went with friends for Sunday lunch. Food was nice. Chicken roast great, beef roast ok, pork roast not good. No crackling just a layer of fat. Smoked haddock and solider starter amazing! Fabulous waitress her first day! Couldn't be more helpful. Slow service due to 2 huge birt parties. Great venue, nice food would definitely try again.
We enjoyed a lovely meal, good wine and very attentive friendly service. Definitely go back.
Surroundings, food and drink all great. Service was warm and friendly but could have been a little more attentive (I'm being really picky here).
Would recommend for good informal dining in a nice location.
Spent a lovely afternoon watching the boat race yesterday. Great band on .. Soul Train .. great atmosphere. Only one problem "toilets!" Couldn't get near them for love nor money. Queued down the staircase, ridiculous. Even more annoying saw two female guests from private party with key to disabled toilet who locked it up after them and wouldn't let others use. When I suggested they left it unlocked was told not allowed - for disabled use only - oh and them, who were clearly not disabled in any way?? Why not leave unlocked for everyone and if disabled person needs to use show them to front of queue I suggested .. seems logical. . By the way didn't see one disabled person in there all afternoon. Another staff member asked the girls for the key .. it was her first day .. to allow a lady to change her baby and was told no we've got to return it upstairs. I wonder how much the party upstairs had paid for the key and how many of them were disabled?
Lovely pub great atmosphere lovely staff but down side was meal took to long to arrive and when meal come out mine was cold don't think cheese and bacon burger and small tub of chips was worth £17 but all in all nice pub
It’s a nice place in a nice location overlooking the Thames. The staff is friendly, although the service is a tiny bit slow. The food was very correct. Roast lamb a bit under-seasoned and broccoli slightly over-roasted, very good sticky toffee pudding. We will come back with friends.
I love it!! Nice venue and good food! 😘
Great old pub, great location, very good food.
Old pub, next to the river. Great views and a nice place to sit and have a beer. However, I'd avoid the food. I had the steak pie, the crust was a bit burnt and the steak wasn't tender. I tried the crumble for dessert, bit better but a bit short on the ice cream. Personally, lot better places to eat in Putney.
Came in on Wednesday for lunch, it was really busy at first but only one member of staff on and our food was very slow to arrive. As the restaurant got quieter (only 2 tables occupied) the speed of service still didn't improve! Staff member was very helpful but we were disappointed in the time it took to be able to order and how long it took to get our food.
Food totally amazing! FOH staff on the other hand are totally shocking... Rude, sarcastic and clearly need further training on how to deal with the public... Wouldn't bother going bk to that.
Basic common courtesy and customer service is something to be left to the imagination here as the staff probably wouldn't know what that was if it slapped them in the face! I work in a customer service based job and wouldn't have a job left if I behaved like the staff here at the Putney branch.
Due to this experience I would not return
Very disappointed with my visit today! Bad behaviour from a bar staff who flicked his fingers as if I was a pice of dust. Don't go to this place! Bar staff don't respect people.
No longer a Youngs Pub it's full of posers and spritzer drinkers
