... It’s hard to find of a style of music that Gus Gus hasn’t traversed. Over the space of twenty years, the Icelandic band have amassed a huge following, from humble beginnings as a film and acting collective, right the way through to releasing ten studio albums.
Labelling them as an electronic music band seems unfair considering the unrelenting repertoire of talent they’ve produced over the years but, perhaps most strikingly, was the release of Polydistortion back in 1997. This was arguably the release that put their footprint firmly in the Icelandic snow, leading to worldwide recognition and the advent of sold out shows across the globe.
Fast-forward a decade or two and their presence and ability are far from wavering. The latest release, Featherlight, is a record that speaks volumes about the band’s origin as well as their present sound. Taken from their forthcoming album, “Lies are more flexible”, it’s an irrevocable sign of positive things to come.
And how to celebrate such a feat? Well, save the date, because on Thursday the 28th of February, Gus Gus will be playing an exclusive live performance at one of the Capital’s newest and exciting warehouse spaces: E1 London. With a bespoke Funktion One Soundsystem, that features a professionally tuned “Wall of Sound”, there is no better venue to celebrate Gusgus’ iconic sound.

Such an amazing venue! I held my 30th birthday party here and it really wowed my guests - an incredible location and such a cool venue!! The space is so versatile and Dominic and team made such a HUGE effort to ensure that my party went with a bang. No task was too big and they were so flexible letting me into the venue at awkward times and coming back to collect my things the next day. The party went by in a flash - the lighting, balloons, decorations and vintage furniture all looked amazing and the team were great. Would thoroughly recommend Studio Spaces, Shoreditch if you are looking for a great venue - for a day or night event. Thanks guys!

Proper warehouse vibes & sound

One of the best venues to hire in Shoreditch. Dom and Lorenzo are super helpful and we'll be using them again in the future.

Love this space! Went to a few Hydra nights recently and its the only place in London that reminds me of the super cool warehouse type venues in Berlin! Sound is ace, good lighting spec and generally a cool place to hang and dance to your fave DJ's. A few comments here mentioning smoking areas and queues. This is London and queuing is part and parcel of a night out. If people don't like it, they should join a private members club! The upper area for smoking is huge and away from the public streets! defo going back!!!

Great size venue with an impressive soundsystem

Great atmosphere, amazing layout and a friendly and helpful security team. A few miner things which could have made it better but you can't be too picky! Will definitely be returning, could be a new favourite!

An excellent venue hire service that fully met our requirements and exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend these great venues in London E1 and E2, versatile spaces, suitable for a huge variety of events with great facilities and dedicated support services. Dominic and the team went above and beyond in providing assistance throughout the planning process and on the day of the event. We hugely appreciated your ultra professional, friendly and accommodating approach which gave us peace of mind and allowed us to focus on our guests. Thank you, we are looking forward to working with you again soon!

We (Splendid Communications) held our company party at the Kingsland Rd space last summer and it quickly went down as one the of the greatest we've thrown thereafter From a production point of view the team were extremely helpful in every aspect and helped me manage the night seamlessly. It was a (rare) steaming hot night and they even pulled together air-con units at last minute.



If we didn't have to switch venues up each year I'd definitely use these guys again!

Venue is great and spacey but the sound system is poor it could be so much better

My Google Map didn't quite take me to the postcode spot, I had to enter the street name manually because the postcode took me to a parallel running street adjacent.



The Reception and Security was outstanding. They had a red carpet and clear signage with a Security guard. Once inside my bag was searched, they offered to take care of my coat and handed me a named security badge.



The food was delicious. A variety of meat and veg cold sandwiches, biscuits and fruit kebabs. However the coffee was cold. I did change it for a hot herbal tea instead. There were fresh cold water available.



The ladies rooms were clean and well kept.



It was far to travel there but the Technology Presentation given there and the congregation of Quality people was well worth it.



The sound and lighting were good.



I do recommend booking this venue for gathering and presentations.

Face meltingly hot. When you have to spend the majority of the night in the smoking area coz it's too hot and miss the majority of the sets.. Not good! Sort the air conditioning out and it could be up there in the top London venues for club nights.

this place is a joke, got all the way up to London for my 18th with my mates (all over 18) the stupid rude staff were saying they needed bank cards to get in. Absolute waste of time and money, completely ruined my birthday & the staff were so rude, fuming. Don’t even bother .

Terrible venue, very dangerous (temperature wise) and massively greedy at the bar. Staff Wouldn't even give me a glass of water for a guy who genuinely needed it (had to pay £6) over filled, bad layout, sound, lighting and staff. You Should be ashamed of yourself. The que to get in and the smoking area are joined (complete cauos) Venues like this give house music a bad rep.

Possibly the worst venue I have ever been to for a rave. Insanely hot, one tiny thin staircase to get outside to the smoking area, fairly bad acoustics and when I passed out from heat exhaustion, one of the bouncers dislocated my arm. Avoid at all costs
