For so many, the E17 Art Trail is about making connections with neighbours. For the coming weeks the way we connect with each other feels a little uncharted. Everyone is experiencing changes to our everyday encounters, especially our elders and our children. We'd like to congratulate Image 17 Photography for their current exhibition We Are Here which warmly captures some of the Windrush citizens of Waltham Forest. The exhibition is at Vestry House Museum until 1st November 2...020. You can meet the participants, hear their experiences and music here anytime: https://weareherewf.org/participants/ Among the images here you'll get a flavour of the opening event. We share these with warm wishes to all the families involved, thankful that their families have contributed so much to our communities. And to all the grandparents and children inventing different ways to enjoy each other's company. Image 17 welcome you to nominate your own relative or friend to be a contributor, get in touch through the We Are Here website. From time to time, Artillery (organisers of the E17 Art Trail) will be posting news from our artists network. Perhaps we'll even manage to re-create some of that sense of discovering the creative secrets of our streets that visitors and residents tell us they enjoy so much. If you have ideas and suggestions or stories you'd like to share, please message us. Wishing you, your families and your community well.

Some sunshine to brighten your day! You may remember the author of this book who hosted 'Privet View', an art exhibition on a hedge, on the E17 Art Trail for many years? See a review here for Michael Holland's stunning new children's book about plants.
