Tj Johnson He is also an accomplished piano player, drummer and a respected bandleader. Always a true ambassador of the soul, TJ sings songs of love lost and gained, of life wholesome and corrupt, songs of hope, songs of the night, all with the true passion and boozy swagger of only a man who has been there and knows.
Backed by his group of top British musicians TJ plays an extraordinary blend of music that transcends the boundaries of jazz, blues, soul, country and gospel and is influenced by the likes of Ray Charles, Dr John, Louis Armstrong, Johnny Cash, BB King, Nina Simone, Alberta Hunter, Jimmy Witherspoon and many more. His distinctive voice and unique personal stage manner brings both the band and the audience together to create an intimate yet exciting atmosphere rarely equalled.
The DELTA LADIES
THE DELTA LADIES are joined regularly by percussionist DANNY BRYAN (Bex Marshall) whose dazzling array of world percussion creates a driving poly-rhythmic, multi timbral sound-scape. ALAN GLEN (Nine Below Zero, Yardbirds) award winning harmonica player features regularly. TALI TROW (Bonnie Dobson, Coal Porters, Cosmic Charlie) adds double bass & mandolin and is also currently producing tracks for a further projected Delta Ladies’ album.
The band has been des...cribed as ‘Very good indeed’ by Steeleye Span (a folk act of almost mythical status) who were entranced by the Deltas at a recent major festival. Among a large number of positive reviews; one the UK’s leading folk magazines
AROUND KENT FOLK said ‘Mesmerizing and brilliant .‘ They then added the comment ‘You can almost smell the incense’. As a homage to the psychedelic era one of their new album tracks is the Deltas’ extended version of the classic Bonnie Dobson song ‘Morning Dew’ which was premiered on Radio Seagull in the spring of this year.
The DELTA LADIES were recently filmed in concert at the Convent Glocs for PPV TV. They are also regular performers at the world famous 100 Club and will be appearing on November 15 this year. They have played close to 2000 shows in the UK and France including, the Famous Eel Pie Club (home of British Blues), Freddie’s Joint Toulouse, Bulls Head Barnes, Cambridge Folk Club, Blues at the Farm, Islington & Dartford Folk Clubs. Festivals include Ealing Blues, The Great British Folk Festival in Skegness, Tenterden Folk Fest, South London Folk Blues, Harpenden World Folk & Roots, Cambridge Rock Fest, Upton Acoustic, Brownstock, They have been backing band for Linda Gail Lewis and support slots have included Chris Farlowe, Lindisfarne, and Fairport.

Guitarist and singer/songwriter/producer, jamie clarke's perfect was born in 1964 in the middle of nowhere and destined to go places. Moved to Camden, the heart of London and the centre of the music world in 1987. He started his career with 80's poptastic "Innocence Lost" and ended up touring the world with "The Pogues" in the 90's, replacing Philip Chevron on guitar and playing on and writing for their 1996 album "Pogue Mahone". In 1997 he formed "PERFECT", the band he's been fronting and playing with ever since.

Shoreditch Radio and Legendary DJ, DJ Sue, has set the decks on fire in many places, over the years, including The Enterprise, Barfly, Monarch, Lockside Lounge, Camden Head, Joe's Bar, Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes, Big Chill Bar, Dirty Water Club, The Clarendon (Leamington), Dragon Bar (Hastings), Electric Picnic Festival (Ireland), festivals in Sweden and Italy, and many private parties, community parties and other events over the years. The team are amazing - we held our wedding party in the speakeasy and they were amazing from start to finish! The food is excellent as well. Also spent plentynof evenings here drinking good wine in a welcoming and cosy environment.
The Earl Haig is an excellent venue. The Chamber of Commerce a fine initiative.
Performed here last night ..adorable venue , lovely laid back vibe ...all staff were fabulous and so helpful and welcoming and a delight:) look forward to coming back:)xthankyou for having us x
Magical place. A 1920's Art Deco old Social Club, but with great food and sweet events.
Lovely family community vibe, alternative craft fairs and screenings, feels like a home from home, well behaved dogs welcome.
Lovely bar staff, good vibe, cheap drinks and fantastic selection. This place rocks! Thank you for a great NYE party!
Love the food (just had the sea bream for dinner this week it was delicious), it’s quite quirky and the outside space is good on a sunny day.
Love it! Everyone was so pleased when the Earl Haig opened. There's nowhere quite like it in the area. In the year or so it's been open I've enjoyed so many nights of great bands I'd never seen before, swing dancing classes, my birthday, New Year's Eve, delicious food and playing there myself. Fab place, fab people! Lovely garden too.
