Introducing Edward Vinson Ltd
The Vinson family has been growing high quality berry fruits in the Faversham area for over a hundred years, incorporated as ‘Edward Vinson Ltd’, a family-owned company, in 1949.
Successive generations always made it their business to rise to the challenges of changing growing conditions and the increasing demands of an ever-developing market place. Today’s young and dynamic management team is led by fifth generation, Sean Figgis who took over as managing director in 20xx.
Today our company comprises three divisions:
Berry Fruit production and packing
At Edward Vinson Ltd, we grow strawberries, raspberries and blueberries on four locations in close proximity to the town of Faversham, a production area of xxx hectares. Located in the heart of the ‘Garden of England’, this farmland is renowned for its pleasant climate and favourable growing conditions. Our pack house, packing berry fruits for our supermarket customers, and our three staff accommodation sites are also close by.
Berry Fruit Breeding
In the late 1980s, identifying opportunities in the evolving market place, Peter Vinson started a berry fruit breeding programme, producing new varieties of berry plants with improved qualities to meet the needs of our discerning customers. Today our breeding programme, also based near Faversham, enjoys worldwide recognition.
Plant propagation
Edward Vinson Plants is a subsidiary of Edward Vinson Ltd, which produces specialist plants for fruit growers. These plants are raised on a number of sites in southern England and one in Bulgaria.

As a company, we are also committed to future development of new berry varieties and to innovation in production methods and techniques to meet new market trends.
