Patient Complaint – Patient was referred by GDP for treatment of the upper jaw. Failing dentition, patient was aware she had neglected her teeth; there was sensitivity, pain and discomfort. Wanted an improvement in the appearance, wasn’t confident about smiling. Didn’t want to wear dentures.
... Social History – 44 years Age, past smoker.
Diagnosis- Generalised Mild-Moderate chronic inflammatory periodontal disease modified by past smoking, Caries, Periapical periodontitis, Retained roots, Lack of posterior support , drifting of upper anteriors, Failing upper anterior bridge,.
Options Extraction of selected teeth and partial dentures, complete denture. Bridges or implant based option.
Treatment offered and agreed. Extraction of all upper teeth and placement of 6 implants in the maxillary arch Pterygoid implants placed bilaterally in association with All-on 4™ protocol.
Surgeon: Mr Harpal Chana – Consultant in Restorative Dentistry and Dental Implantology. Implants used. Nobel Bio care- Nobel Parallel 4.3 diameter RP at the UR and UL 1, and 7 sites.
Periodontist: Dr George Xirogiannis. Periodontal treatment.
Prosthodontics:Dr Kash Ubhi – Specialist Prothodontist. Immediate and Definitive Prostheses.
GDP: Routine dentistry
Technical Work. Elmfield House Dental Laboratory (Eddy and Anna) For the definitive work, wax try in, wax set up was copied in acrylic and cut back was made, acrylic but back was scanned with Nobel Procera scanner, Zirconia framework, framework scanned with Sirona scanner to produce individual emax copings, Emax Porcelain was layered on emax copings and to AnaxGum to reproduce gum.

2016 Palace to Palace Some of our team participated in the 45 mile Palace to Palace bike ride yesterday in aid of the Prince’s Trust. The event took cyclists along a picturesque route of 45 miles from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle, taking in some of London’s most iconic sites including Richmond Park, Hampton Court Palace and The Long Walk at Windsor Castle.
