Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757), Sonata in D, Kp. 214. Apart from JS Bach, my favourite Baroque composer. I think Scarlatti must have been a lot of fun! I love how music from the past gives us a hint of someone’s personality and life, and it’s up to us to interpret what they were trying to say with their genius. Such a gift! Along with the F#minor Sonata from a few years ago, the ABRSM have selected another beauty for the current grade 8 piano syllabus 🎶🎵👍🏻

I have always had an affinity with, and a passion for, music. My vocation is to share this with my students. From the absolute beginner to the more advanced performer and all levels in between; I aim to offer a personalised, holistic approach to music education. With the piano, playing the notes is part of a “whole”, where interpretation, technique, style and deportment combine to create continued personal achievement and growth. Advancing the performer along a musical journey, while achieving the most fulfilment from playing as possible is my goal. I also offer theory lessons, GCSE and A level support.
