Notification of summer pool closure
Dear members we would like to give you notification of our plans for the swimming pool during this summer. The last day the pool will be open will be Sunday 15th July and then will close for a planned 4 week period.
We have received excellent news that this will enable us to provide further improvements around poolside including the flooring, extensive work will take place in the plant room on improved functionality (which will also assist... us in guarding against the majority of adhoc closures) and work will also take place on ventilation which should positively impact on not only the pool but also the changing facilities as well.
Please accept our apologies for any disruption this may cause however we are confident it will mean a much improved service to our members.

“Update on the Student Central swimming pool
Dear SC pool users, please accept our apologies regarding the recent pool closures. The pool is now open again, however I wanted to give you an update.
We are working every day with the maintenance team at UoL centrally to agree a conclusive plan that will tackle the ongoing issues with regulating the pool water quality. We are in constant contact with them, advising in advance of how the pool levels appear and to get as much info...rmation as possible again in advance of repeated issues. We, as any pool does, have strict guidelines to follow, how to report and when closure should be notified and whilst this means we are always operating comfortably within a very safe environment we understand it does seriously compromise your usage, often at short notice.
We are confident that we are close to having news on how this issue can be permanently rectified.

Xmas Class Timetable starts Monday 11th Dec 2017

Dancefit Wednesdays 6-7pm A super fun and energetic workout, using easy to learn dance moves and high intensity/fitness training. Come and work up a sweat, burn calories and tone the body, all whilst rocking out to great tunes from a broad range of styles, including Latin, Hip-Hop and Bhangra. Starts 1st November 2017

Very good for temperature, quality of water, organization and staff. Unfortunately the price .... Now is little bit right 👉.... graduate people £10 per day and students £8.

regular closures and cancellations. No compensations or refunds.

Totally unreliable. Pool is shut every week, shut for extensive periods over the summer

Random closures and cancellations of classes. No refunds given and no warning either. Pool shuts for three months every summer. Staff will pack up the till two hours before supposed closing time so they can go home early (so you can't renew membership, or buy entry - particularly annoying when you have especially travelled in to use the gym). Only two working toilets in female changing rooms - one is blocked and the other 'closed for maintenance' for at least six months.

Pool closes one day due to chemical imbalances, "check Facebook for updates". Next morning on Facebook: "pool is now open", walk there at lunch time "pool is now closed".

Gym is fine if rather basic. The pool is great when open... which isn't often. I've come specifically to use the pool a number of times and it's closed 50% of the time. Also no refunds.

Great facility. Rubbish management and poor client focused ethics.

It also lacks of water fountains...
