Perfect place to stay clean modern rooms right in the centre of Glasgow on the Clyde ideal for short visits and at very reasonable price ïżœ

User

I stayed here for 5 nights and the service was excellent, the view from my room was absolutely beautiful, the staff were very friendly and polite, the food was decent & I wanted to say a huge thank you to one of your staff members who is Portuguese , who was taking care of the 7th floor, he was friendly, nice, polite, taking good care of the room, and a star for handling noisy people in my dorm when I complained to him!

User

Enjoyed several nights here. Great, central location! Friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely recommend and stay here again if ever in Glasgow.

User

Stayed in a private room for one night.Very clean, nice staff and good central location.

User

Stayed for one night. Only thing was it was a bit cold when first going to bed, No heater in the room but no other complaints. Basic, but all that is needed, I've paid double in hotels with similar looking rooms (apart from it being bunk beds instead of two single beds) I'd go back!

User

Now I am at room 707 and it's better than the previous room 314. the hotel was made renovation so room is upgraded and the best place for me to stay in glasgow. thank you EU for giving a room for me with 19.95ÂŁ.

User

I spent two nights at Euro Hostel Glasgow and for the most part it was pretty good. It is very well located for starters, and the price is very accessible. I stayed one night in a shared "suite" with eight bunker beds and it was, I think, as good as shared rooms can get. My only complaint was regarding the toilets, more specifically the low quality toilet paper. Seems like they just get the cheapest one there is. On the second night I got a room just to myself, with one bunker bed, but was disappointed with it not having a USB port to charge my phone, since my charger doesn't plug into UK's sockets, and with the low water pressure and broken temperature regulator in the shower. However, the staff at the front desk was very nice and lent me a charger which I then returned on check-out. Overall it was a good experience but could be better, even for the low price.

Had 4 bed room on 6th floor. Clean, modern, and very reasonable. Wss too earn for my likes and no control over it only one window opened, and it was not enough for cooling: ÂŁ16 per night.

Location is great - close to Central station, shopping, and very walkable to many galleries, museums, pubs and food stores. The kitchen is large and near professional, although no utensils for eating, and some gear doesn't work. The bar is nice and all you can eat breakfast for 5ÂŁ is great value. The food was very good aside from the sausages. Had two roommates and we jelled well. Another arrived but was coming to bed when we were rising. Did not get to know him, felt bad that he had to deal with our cross hours. Staff are fairly nice and attentive, but lack common info on buses, bikes, and other traveler queries. Would go back

User

Generally very clean, good facilities and feast location. Downsides - the shower in our room was extremely hard to use and could get it above luke warm. The room was so hot - the window near my bed didn’t open so even hotter- no air con either. The place can be noisy - it’s a hostel so tbh I expected this somewhat but if you are not expecting it be warned. Though I did sleep extremely well surprisingly which is why it gets 4 stars from me

User

one toilet in our room was out of order and the other one had a ridiculously weak flush and ended up basically constantly gross. the atmosphere is clinical and not super encouraging. the location is central though and its nice to have showers in the rooms of the hostel and drink/food in the bar is cheap. it's a decent place to go to bed at night but don't expect too much.

User

I was in a 12 beds dorm. Ok it was cheap but tu sheets was really dirty when i arrived, the shower is small and just a little bit water go out. On lift doesn't work and the staff isn't friendly, especially the security. There is a huge aeration whole in the common room so its freezing. The positive aspect was the hostel bar whitch served good burger. The hostel is good located but it s not a lovely place to stay and relax

User

I had very low expectations and they managed to disappoint me still.

The lift barely worked, the common area was like a hospital waiting room, the kitchen was not equipped at all, the beds were thin and worn spring mattresses and the laundry accepted old coins.

The only two positive things were the staff and the location of the hostel.

User

my experience in 4 bed room on the 9th floor is so terrible, with the very little water coming out from the shower, poorly flushed toilet with always not enough water to flush out, centralised heater only start at 10.30pm when the weather is freaking cold, the staff that is so not friendly, kitchen was not properly managed with poor utensil provided, highly not recommended to stay, will never suggest others to stay here, eventhough the place is so near to the shopping street yet there is still another hotel that can give you more with the same location as this hostel. this hostel sucks

User

Wish I could give a ‘0’. Checked in yesterday night and payed. We arrived at our double room and the bed was full of hairs, don’t know if they even changed the seats.. The ground and under the bed was full of dirt.. we complained downstairs and they did not seemed surprised at all. The guys were very friendly tho and gave us free breakfast coupons and a new room. The new room had a pillow which had a black spot... the ground was also full of dirt and the bathroom shower was full of brown spots.. Well, i slept in a lot of hostels and i never have experienced this... We decided to book an other hostel. So we left after an hour after checking in and the lady at he reception told us she could nothing for us, no refund, nothing... and i would be contacted tomorrow. This happened yesterday and i still havent heard of them since... i dont expect a lot of hostels but cleanness (especially if you take a private room) is one top priority. The refund- problem i dont understand either.

User

The stay way ok up until we were woken up at 2:50am by someone entering our PRIVATE room. As five young females hearing a male enter your private room at that time is alarming. Two members of our party went to reception to express our concerns as to how someone managed to get in to our room with a key and the staff completely brushed them off and made it out like it was our fault by saying we probably didn't close the door correctly. Absolute appalling that other people are able to get into private rooms.

User

Shit hole of a place wouldn't recommend to anybody not a very nice place and all there hot breakfast items are microwaved and not cooked by a chef ah a suppose it is chef pading and the reheat the breakfast stuff from the day before so it's not always fresh sometimes reheat 's

User

Room's doors BANG whenever people or I close them. My room was very cold. Not one shelf in the bathroom (to place my toothbrush or contact lens) or in the shower. Staff is not specially friendly. Location, kitchen, dinning area are perfect. Clean. I would recommnd the owner to stay at EH Glasgow!

User

Me and 11 of my friends booked a 14 bed private dorm for a concert we will be going to tomorrow night. We booked this months ago and as we booked it we looked at the regulations there and there was nothing about age. There was things about not smoking and no curfew but nothing saying we needed an 18 year old. It came to our attention only yesterday that there needed to be an 18 year old (this was NOT clear when booking) we phoned today and asked what to do. Not only did they tell us we can’t stay but we had to pay the full cost!! This is absolutely ridiculous we are all beyond mad and now we are having to look for another hotel room which we might not even get. And we are all short on money. The rules and regulations should have been made clearer and it was never mentioned to us that we would have to cancel 28 days prior to arrival for a full refund. Absolutely shocking. Just to be clear we are all 16 and 17.

User

I'm still here til tomorrow. They haven't cleaned the toilets on the second floor since I checked in at 3pm. They are nasty. The second floor feels like it's in a horror film. I will have to have a tramp wash. I can't face these showers. I have been all over the world staying in hostels. I love a bargain but......no thanks!!

I did stay here like years ago. It was ok for one night for a gig or night out. Seemed better 10 years ago!
