A working paper that assesses ways to address possible #data falsification in our #survey has been published on our website. Several measures initiated by our Core Scientific Team (CST) are already in place to ensure the best possible interviewing is undertaken in all participating countries. The paper assesses how falsification can occur, and our continued efforts to help prevent it.

During Round 8 (2016/17) of our #survey, we asked respondents whether they would feel ashamed if a close family member was gay or lesbian. Our results suggest that those from the Netherlands ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ, Iceland ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธ and Norway ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ด would be the most tolerant. Only 19.5% of Russians ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ, 27% of Lithuanians ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡น and 34.9% of Hungarians ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡บ disagreed with the statement.

Our #data was analysed as part of a Social Science History (Cambridge Core) journal article published last month. The #research assessed our #survey data measuring levels of #political trust in eastern and western Europe from 2002/03 - 2010/11. By examining the association between sociodemographic factors and political trust, Brad Epperly (University of South Carolina ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ) found no evidence that communist legacies account for a trust deficit.
