Some great changes, a great atmosphere and lots more exciting changes to come. A local centre with regional centre facilities.

User

So impressed with the free, spacious soft play area for the children! Also the updated baby change facilities. Ideal that my older daughter can be kept entertained whilst I attend to my youngest.

User

Nice personnel and great place to spend your day

User

Love the new changes made to the mall. It's great for children too. Sunny day or rain you can always visit here. Especially during rain when you don't have any other options to take kids

User

Ilford Exchange has made some very nice changes for which they need to be appreciated. Free Parking in the Evening helps in a big way. Free kids play area is another great initiative. Loved the Howzat Cricket similator. Shame I only got a chance to get my hands on the Willow on the last day, but gladness to know that after all these years I haven't forgotten how to bat. Howzat to Ilford Exchange!!

Creams is be best here staff are amazing!!!! They made my birthday so special i love them all so much!! The food is delicious and the place is stunning! The staff definitely deserve a lot of credit and appreciation!!

User

Good assortment of shops. Cheap parking. Would've given 5⭐️, but the toilets on the top floor were pretty disgusting last time I visited. Toilets were either unflushed or had no toilet paper.

User

Two units that have been empty for more them 3 years!!

Parking with small children is a nightmare, can never get a space in child parking because too many people park there without children, all children aged 12 and under need to be in a car seat or on a booster seat,so it's quite easy to see most of the people who abuse it,also there seems to be a few sports cars that are there nearly every day, all day, maybe staff taking advantage, hoping that now child parking is down stairs you may be some how you could monitor the situation.

May be a whole floor would be nice as most people who park there have children, or share a whole floor with disabled parking as most of them bays seem to be empty,

User

It’s fine if you don’t mind running a narrow gauntlet of charity fundraisers and annoyingly cheery but intrusive utilities sales people getting in your face when you really just want a quick bite to eat...

User

I've been there after 5:30 and paid £1,50 for parking so it's not true Free Parking after 5:30.

User

A wide of shops two chose from and a friendly atmosphere with shop retailers

A review? Of a shopping centre? Well, it's a shopping centre; they are all the same, you seen one you seen them all. It's lacking a few shops others have but has some shops others don't. The layout could've been better but they chose to go over the top of the rail lines. To me might have been more sensible to just cover the high street.

The layout means you do have to go up to go down to get out the opposite end whichever end you come in or want to go out. Car park is easily accessible from all levels.

There is a reasonable selection of food in there but it's still the same old same old; BK, Subway, Costa etc. The only ones out of the ordinary are a mexican restaurant and Auntie Anne's (Pretzels).

The Post Office is in Smiths now, moved from the old location several years back. One entrance comes out near the station which is handy if you need a train. One onto the High Street, and if you cut through the car park you come out onto the back streets near Ley Street. Handy for Valentines Park though it is a trek.

Have been 3 times in the last 2 weeks due to store collections and returns. One entrance ticket machine has not worked all 3 visits, one of the carpark lifts always out of order and both central glass lifts near Debenhams out of order. Ilford exchange need reliable maintenance people. The new car park looks good but no electric charging bays but there is a bay for pedestrians (marked with a person) and a mpv bay. there are far too many empty blue disabled bays. Was the blue paint going cheap? For all 3 of my last visits i had to go park on the 4th floor. I don't have problem with this but do feel more family parking bays should be available. Surely more kids enter the exchange than disabled people. Almost half the third floor is marked as disabled bays. Do we really need 2 costas. Get a Starbucks in there. Variety is good. Glad there's only one poundshop inside now though that was probably not your choice. On the plus side place is always clean, parking is free after 5.30 and sundays and shops open for longer now. Saw the kids play area and it is so much better than the old play area. Bring back a toy shop like the entertainer. There used to be one years ago when there was a Woolworths.

Took my son to burger king, we were rudely interrupted by beggars, walking around asking for money. Did tell burger king staff but nothing was done.

The lost time I was Exchange this so many things need doing and fixing like the loos for one things and so many stores are empty with in the Center that also letting you lot down more on up floor Three all they is Cafes on Ilford you read my review so why are youreally loos have not been cleared in ages as they is pee and it ant nice also people trying to sell your things of we what to talk to them we would I did care if they got ID or not they should not come up to you and say oh I know you her should not down that as all wron you upgrade the loos like better but new they cold

The Asian lady (wore thick fake lashes and a stinky attitude) on the top floor doing arts & crafts was the worst person I've ever seen doing activities with kids. Her attitude stunk and the way she instructed kids was ridiculous. She was abrupt & didn't let kids touch or use the coloured pens which were displayed on the tables. What's the point of having colours on display if kids aren't allowed to touch them? It wasn't busy at the time and there were two empty tables. She wanted to churn the kids out like cattle and clearly didn't want to be there.

Just witnessed what could have been a terrible accident. A woman got on the down escalator holding a child and a buggy. She lost hold of the buggy and it ploughed into the man in front. He happened to be young and fit and managed to balance himself and catch it.

If it had been an elderly person or a young child the outcome could have been so different. There are lifts and this should not be permitted. I’m in Costa watching and this is a very Usual occurrence.

Just been early today at Debenhams in Ilford Exchange and I couldn't say that I have left happy from thereBeen whit my little one to see if the counters from Clinique, Estee Lauder and any others have free samples of foundation to try out at home but been so disappointed with the customer service team which either they put you to come back again for nothing or either you have to wait a long time to be treated like all customers.

I felt so unhappy, and nervous after seeing what difference they do between a customer who can spend some money and someone who asks for a sample...I couldn't believe how shameless I felt there and left the shop, I didn't even tried to look for something else.

User

I used to enjoy the exchange as it used to have a children's play area but since they've replaced it with costa coffee outside spudulikes I go to Westfield instead- atleast they value families and shopping experiences with children
