I love Facedown so much that I used to go by myself in the days before I got to know some awesome regulars! Now it’s even better with the Facedown fam. 😘 Huge venue, easy to get to, good atmosphere and always loads of different fun things going on throughout the night. It must take a lot of work to pull it all together every month! I’ve seen some negative reviews about security and whilst I’m not trying to devalue other people’s experiences, I would just like to add that I have always had a good experience with the team there. In fact, I can think of a number of situations (dealing with instances of sexual harassment/intimidation from other punters, helping me to look after someone who wasn’t well and getting some of my belongings back to me) where several members of the security team have been absolutely brilliant and gone above and beyond to help me. ❤️
Awesome pop punk party night out with alternative /metal room ! Don't know why the after party starts playing house and RnB at a punk Club but at that point on the night your too smashed to care !
I find that music cycles quite heavily from rock/ metal to pure cheese and some nights you barely get any rock or metal or the metal you get is mixed with bloody Rihanna no offense to Rihanna fans just keep it away from my papa roach. I been there 2 months on a trot on and the music is pure cheese for a night ( I understand that you have to panda to different crowds but I did come for some rock) next I do have a few issues with security I think there is 2 that are definitely great at there jobs they know who they are and I believe there is one more. On multiple occasions though I have nearly completely thrown in the towel to going ever again because someone in the search area keeps acting like I'm hiding shit in my boxers and checks multiple times sometimes upwards of 4 times + is ridiculous and im not into CBT. Another time was when my toy guns for my cowboy cosplay got taken off me because they were afraid I would hold up the bar with them cap guns that are for ages 8+ ( seriously ) so I had no chance of winning costume competition. Speaking of competition when the guy in charge of running said competition is biased based on looks and colour you need to change that person 15 occasion over last couple of years he has blatantly ignored me to enter others and the time above he was told by not only three people on stage to pick me but others around me in the crowd and still bypassed me takes the piss. Same night one of the competitors work with interviewing guests i.e bands and the other works on the questlist and helps coordinate other event nights . ( Comes across as a bit fixed if you asked me)( Also the guy who won the ps4 ( the interviewer of guests) after winning was asked to do another task to earn the prize he had already won )
An otherwise fun night marred by security guards who seem to have been trained by either ex-cons or the SS.
In my past few times of going, my fiancée was borderline molested by Natalie - Yes Natalie, I too like G cups but I'm afraid you generally have to ask for consent before you can pretty aggressively grope them.
And to the bald south African guy who threatened to kick me out and call the police, no I was not doing drugs in the toilet. I was in there for 15 minutes trying to calm down from a panic attack :)))))
Honestly fire the security apart from the hench ID dude and you're good.
