The parking is a nightmare but I am bike ÔŅĹ rider so easy for me. The gym is great, helpful staff , shame you are cutting down their hours. Changing rooms are always ok ÔŅĹ when I am in them. More swimming ÔŅĹ lanes would be good. All in all not bad. Tell me now you are saving money ÔŅĹ on staff will the fees go down?

User

My mum isn't on Facebook but has asked me to add a review, she swims a couple of times a week, generally she has expressed the staff are helpful, nice and welcoming. The changing rooms are clean and whilst she has a preference of a private cubicle, there are not enough of them, after expressing her feedback to the management team, Fairfield staff have advised this is something they are looking into improving. The pool is a nice temperature, the lanes are always marked out to indicate slow and fast. Mum is getting old now and has found some of the writing on the signage a bit small but after speaking to the duty manager has been advised new signage has been ordered with bolder print on it to help. Generally, great value for money, mum did the special offer where you pay for 10 months membership but you get 12 months membership for unlimited use ! She wants everyone to know she had waited over two years for this to reopen and is so happy Fairfield is back.

User

I love it there staff brillant great swimming pool. The only thing I would say is please could we not have a bit of music in pool can be so boring just swimming keep us going. I don't have a problem parking but I'm in at 8.15

User

I am cat sitting for my son and daughter-in-law for a week and decided it would be good to have a swim to get me out of the house for a while. I had seen last year when I was here that Fairfield was under refurbishment and as it is literally a five minute walk from the house thought I would pay a visit when it reopened. I was not dissapointed, in fact I was very impressed with the welcoming, friendly staff and lovely clean facilities, gorgeously warm changing room and warm(ish) pool.

I will definately be coming back, tomorrow in fact ÔŅĹ

User

Had a fantastic group inbody pump yesterday , instructor is great and the group is so friendly and helpful ūüĎć x

Won‚Äôt mention the parking ūüė°

User

Great place to work out can be a little busy at times but have never not been able to get on a machine. Only thing is trainers who work there should as walking round give you more encouragement

User

Best gym ever, loved David Lloyd’s when it was Next Generation but was so over priced but this comes close to it, out of all the gyms I have tried, love the gym, classes, swimming & aqua fit! :0) Clean, modern & the staff are friendly. Come on join you won’t be disappointed.... maybe say I recommended you ;0) lol

User

Amazing centre, such helpful and welcoming team. Great session in the gym with Adam really pushed me but at same time friendly and talked me through all it all answering all my questions.

Also huge thank you to Lauren from reception/membership team who had just been so helpful and very approachable as well as every other person in met there.

Wonderful team and lovely gym and pool

Thank you

Tracey

User

i go everyweek never have a prob parking as i live across the road from it.

How ever often enough swim tags don't read properly.

Never enough swimming space as they continiously lane it off.Still not enough changing rooms in swimming area.

User

Boxfit class was excellent, definitely recommend and will definitely be going again. Instructor was great and class was very motivating.

The one star deducted wasn’t related to the class but the fact the changing room was quite filthy. The floor was muddy and there was litter under the benches.

User

The parking is not sufficient - week after week my children are just making their swimming lessons as we spend 15-20 minutes driving round looking for a parking space. Also not enough seating in the viewing area and not enough lockers as people seem to put their things in there and not bother with the returnable £1 so more time is wasted opening lockers looking for an empty one. The extra changing rooms are welcomed and the pool itself is clean. Would be better if you didn’t have to walk through the shower area where people congregate to chat meaning others have to basically get wet just to pass through!

User

I visited the leisure centre to attend the black belt Taekwondo Grading.

When I arrived I told the young lady on reception why I was here and she pointed me in the direction of the sports hall.

After an hour, whilst knowing there was 3 hours parking there I went and asked the same receptionist what I done about registering my car for longer parking. I asked about a list to put my registration number on.

She was very unhelpful and said she had no idea and that reception have nothing to do with the leisure centre staff.

I went back to the grading and was talking to another member of the public watching the grading. They told me I should have put the registration number in the iPad on the side. I ran to the iPad and put in registration but it was just over the 3 hours.

I'm fully expecting a parking fine but am unsure why there is no signage in the reception and why the members of staff on reception are so unhelpful.

User

I have recently become a full member here, I find the gym and all other aspects of the setup fantastic. However my main gripe is the swimming timetable, too have to hang around till 9.30 most evenings to get to swim is ridiculous.

I noticed that when the swimming club is on you had split the pool into lanes however 1 lane was big enough to fit 2 standard lanes In, the massive lane only had 2 club members swimming in it.

The swimming club has far too much priority over swimming times.

Shouldn't you offer a gym membership with classes included and ommit the swimming from it?

User

Every week I bring my daughter for a swimming lesson and every week it's the same issues. Finding a parking space is pretty much impossible and the state of the changing rooms is diabolical. This is the 2nd week in a row I have gone to reception regarding the filth in the family area. This week, the floors and benches are caked in mud as the are STILL no shoe covers available. There is a dirty nappy sitting on a changing table and there's enough hair on the shower floors to make a wig. The reason for this state "our cleaner isn't here today". So you only have 1 cleaner? Last week I had to clean the changing room before I could let the kids in there as there was mud and rubbish on the floor and seat and loads of hair. It's basic hygiene surely!

User

Water was cold so when you got out it was even more cold . Not nice pool side staff . My son was made a fool of . He is 12 years old and the pool attendant blew his whistle at him and asked him to remove his tee shirt . He is a larger boy with learning difficulties and is conscious of his body . On trying to explain to the guard the reason of him wearing his top all he said is take it up with the manager . My son wears his top always when he goes swimming with his school and couldn't understand why he couldn't wear it there . As a result he refused to go swimming today with his school . I will be complaining to the manager as rather the humiliation there should be signs up in changing rooms .

User

Took my 3 children at 3.15 on a SATURDAY afternoon - age 12, 3 and 2....get there all excited, and told the pool is shutting at 3.30pm as the late life guards have called in sick. How awful-how can that be acceptable for a community swimming pool?! Have never known any other swimming pool do that

User

Parking is getting beyond a joke! Turn up today to use the gym at 9.30am the car park is rammed with cars parked all over the place and at least 10 cars driving round trying to get parked which results in me leaving! What is the point in me paying money for a membership when I can’t even park to use it! It’s not only like this at wkends but also during the week after work! This needs to be sorted ASAP otherwise you are going to start losing memberships!

User

Not very impressed as I took out a membership to use your pool checked the times on your website to see what times I could go for a swim which says you can swim between 3pm and 7pm to turn up Friday at 6pm to be told I couldn’t swim as the pool was being used for swimming clubs and that I could come back at 9pm I wasn’t told this when I took out my membership

User

Not at all happy with this centre

Booked on todays inflateable session last night and just been called to say it has been cancelled due to staff shortage

My children are very disappointed particularly my 9 year old who is autistic.

Was then told could not get refund over phone but would offer a free swim this afternoon if I came down to get my refund. With no diving boards open this is not really good service at all.
