Before shit hit the fan I was in the middle of doing an expansion and adding a new prep room to the business. Coronavirus you are not an exception and I will not be stopped!! Luckily the floor went down two days before lockdown was announced and finally my equipment got delivered from @brook_food last Friday!!! 🥳 I’m now just waiting for some other bits to arrive and a flour delivery, and I will be back in business! I told you I won’t be gone long and the demand for a bakery is definitely there, thank you for all of your support, never has it meant so much 💚 #supportlocal . . . And yes, I may have a slight obsession with green, so the floor was no exception.

I’d like to think it takes a lot for me not to do something, especially if it’s something I love to do. But now I feel it’s so much more than just to produce bread. Between family members being high risk, not being able to get flour, and waiting on new equipment (coming from Italy!) that I need more than ever, as of today I will be closing the bakery. But don’t be sad, I will be back! Probably bigger and better than ever, I have that whole new prep room to fill obviously!! A...lways look for positives in this shitty situation, I’m finally going to do all the crap jobs I should of done in my 2 month off, and use this time to annoy my family on a whole new level. I’m am unbelievably grateful for living on a farm and the space we have around us to isolate, however by the end of it I’ll probably be living in the dog house with Hector 🙃🤣 Stay safe, and stay sane 🤪

I’m very sorry to have to do this, but any orders now being made are for collection only at the bakery. Due to so many orders being placed I feel like it would be safer for everyone this way, instead of me going from door to door. There will be a table placed outside the bakery for orders to be picked up, so no contact needed at all! The support from you guys is amazing, and has definitely made me realise that bread (or doughnut) is a staple - who doesn’t love a carb!! 🍞
**Any orders that have already been placed, will be delivered throughout this week**

With the news today that Narberth Market will not be up and running from this Friday, I’ve decided I’ll come to you! I’ve deprived you from doughnuts for long enough for being shut for so long, I will not let coronavirus add to it! A lot of you relied on Narberth market for your weekly order of bread so this doesn’t have to stop. At a time where I should be so excited that my business is growing and the expansion is happening I couldn’t be more worried or scared. Now more tha...n ever we as small businesses need your continued support! If any of you know of anyone that would be interested please pass the message on, especially my elderly customers from Narberth Market who might not be on social media. I’m offering free Delivery for orders £10.00 or more for anyone that might be interested, please get in touch either sending a message on here or phone me 01437781259 / 07765523593 💚
Please share!!
*** also not just taking orders for Friday, can be any day of the week (apart from Sunday’s, (day of rest)) currently waiting on a flour delivery which has slowed things down 🤦‍♀️***

My very detailed and to scale drawing for the new prep room......by the end of the week all the building work should be finished and the flooring should be down! I’m so ready for the only mess in the cottage to be flour and cake batter and to be left by me!

Progress so far....
And a picture of bread just in case you thought I had gone into DIY and forgotten I baked! I am back baking and trying to be patient waiting for this room to be finished! 🤪🍩🍞 @ Farm Cottage Bakery

Even though I’m off baking at the moment I’ll still make time (and find a clean surface in the bakery) to make the head of the family his birthday cake. I hope I make it to 90 but I won’t be making my birthday cake! 🎂 ✨ #birthdaycake #bakery #farmcottagebakery #lookslikesummer

Considering it’s nearly a month after Christmas I think it’s about time I get back to work! Even though this doesn’t mean baking there is so much to do to the cottage to get it ready for 2020. This is where I’m currently at, the new door way has been finished to the new part of the bakery, the new prep room (- and the last photo being the state that it’s still in!)This part of the cottage was my grandparents living room, and was originally the old two room cottage, where a family of 5 lived and took in a lodger!! I do wonder what my grandparents would make of their home of 30+ years now being a bakery! 🍞✨ #followingmydream #bakery #farmcottagebakery #expanding

I made it! 2019 has come to an end, but WHAT a year it’s been! To say this business has taken off is an understatement, and I only have you to thank for it, my customers, whether you are a business or personal orders, everyone of them means so much to me! I will not be stepping foot in the bakery until the New Year and will be the longest time off since March! When I do finally return I will be greeted by so much paperwork, cleaning and painting you wouldn’t believe, and of ...course get the expansion well underway! Even though I won’t be baking I’ll still keep you up to date on how the work is coming along, as the bakery will be out of action for January and most of February. Here’s a few photos from over the past year, from getting a van and getting it wrapped so you can’t miss me! (Always after attention), to working on my birthday, taking home my first award, nailing sourdough (finally), making best friends with other business owners, being asked to be part of @bbcradio1 election camper-van (and saying two words, one being ‘pants’ 🤦‍♀️), making it through the stupid amount of Christmas Markets I did because I can’t say no, and finally making probably my favourite wedding cake to date last weekend! This is literally a handful of what has happened this year. I am one person, baking, selling, delivering, and don’t even get me started on the paperwork(!), but I think I have done a pretty good job! But for now I am off to spend the best time of year with my family and friends that have been neglected for far too long! Again thank you so much for your support! Bigger and better things are coming!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! 🎄🎉🥂

What has felt like the hardest 5 weeks of my life, Christmas markets have came to an end! (I am so sleep deprived!) I will be at Narberth Market one last time before Christmas this Friday, 20th. Stock up on bread and doughnuts, as it’s our last one until March!! Feel free to message and put in an order to pick up from the market. I am working right up to Christmas Eve so get in any fresh bread or doughnut orders, because apparently Doughnuts are the new Christmas pudding?! 1 week to go!!! 🍩🍞🎄✨ #bakery #i’llneverescapedoughnuts #pembrokeshire #farmcottagebakery #christmas #christmasorders #shoplocal

So last week was a crazy one, not only has the extension started and well underway, I had a email from BBC Radio 1 asking to be part of BBC Newsbeat to talk about a young person starting a business in Pembrokeshire! Anyone interested in hearing someone completely blag their way through, I will be on Radio 1 tomorrow (Tuesday 26th) at 12.45pm and 5.45pm - so if you don’t catch me on lunch, I’ll be there for your drive home 🙋‍♀️ #pembrokeshirebusiness #bakery #localbusiness #farmcottagebakery #bbcradio1 #lookmumimadeit

Please excuse the appalling clothes, but I was not going to be in my baker uniform for this!
✨FARM COTTAGE BAKERY IS EXPANDING!!!✨
After the very unexpected summer I have had, and the struggle to keep up with demands from a bakery I very quickly grew out of, this could not come quick enough! ... After starting the business 16 months ago, I did not think this would be happening so soon, but beyond excited that it is! The bakery will be about tripling in size with a whole new prep/packaging room, and finally going into Gluten Free!
Business will continue as normal right up to Christmas Eve, then I will be taking a long month and a half off to get the bakery ready for 2020 and to catch up on sleep!
Hard work really does pay off and I flipping worked hard this year! Thank you to everyone who has supported me in one way or another, none of this is possible without my loyal customers and behind the scenes help! This business is my dream and my life and I am so proud of it! ⭐️💚 🍞🍰 #localbusiness #farmcottagebakery #girllivingherdream #pembrokeshire #bakery #lovinlife
