A commonly used optical abbreviation is DS which stands for Dioptre Sphere. It is used to show that there is no cylindrical power in that lens. Less commonly written is DC which stands for Dioptre Cylinder so your full prescription could be written like this... R +1.00 DS L +1.00 DS / -0.50 DC x 90
... But more commonly will appear like this... R +1.00 L +1.00/-0.50 x90
If you are ordering spectacles you do not need to enter the DS part.
Also please be sure to enter it exactly as it is written, those + and - signs are quite important!
