Flatshifter Expert system is it interchangeable ???
The Expert system enables full or part throttle clutchless up-shifts and auto throttle blipped clutchless down gearshifts.
Just a quick update on the Expert system on a question we get asked many times, and is an impotant one that could save you a lot of money, generally the answer is Yes, all the main components are normally interchangeable ( not cdi ign) but sometimes part of the throttle blipper needs replacing ie from ge...neration 1 busa to gen 2 busa one has a course thread for the engine idle screw the other a fine thread ( throttle blipper replaces engine idle screw), but worse case is it might cost £30.00 to swap it all over or cost nothing. you could even remove one from your motocycle engine and refit to your F3 car or whatever. Hi Graham, I have fitted the Flatshifter Expert & paddle shift kit to my off road racing buggy, i find it very precise and reliable when racing, in my last 5 events i finished with 4 wins and a second and the second was my own fault as i was leading all day and i changed my tyres and forgot to check the tyre pressure`s. Hi couple of pictures showing the versatility of the Flatshifter Max electric gear selector system a drag racing Moped from norway (2 bikes now supplied for.
Moped has 28hp without NOS and another 10hp with NOS, 90CC. Best 60 feet 1.81sec and with bad grip 8,79sec on 1/8 with 119km/h top speed over the finish line.

Thank you for all your help & advice on Friday, the Flatshifter Expert worked perfectly both up & down the next day at the hill climb. We had a very enjoyable day with no problems apart from the fact I didn't ride fast enough! Just got these in from the machine shop, our latest design of paddles, definitely the most versatile paddles on the market, this is the 1st set. The idea is that you can use them as normal ie bolt them between your steering wheel and the quick release OR you can remove the paddle blippers from there mounting and fit them on the steering wheel spokes on much larger steering wheels,ie 260 mm diameter wheel or 500mm wheel no problem with the same paddles , cool eh

We have very successfully run an early version of the quickshifter/flatshifter gearchange system for the last 10 years on an OMS Sprint car, and having studied all of the available makes and types of systems available for a lightweight motor cycle engined single seater for the new car we have constructed for this seasons racing, I decided to use the latest version the Flatshifter Expert This system is a very well engineered yet simple system, easy to install and set up, a ...real " Plug and Play" in modern terminology. I became very aware of the overly complicated and programmer reliant systems made by other manufacturers, and of course the significant price differences when these systems require replacement ECUs and other major components. Having installed the Flatshifter Expert to a Gen2 Hayabusa, with the Flatshifter electronic paddle shift, we have now run the car in two events, both without any faults in the system and winning FTD at Goodwood in only our second time out.
