Love it needs to come to Leeds in Yorkshire xx a big shop not a pop up one !!

Hi. I bought a USB cable from Tiger that stopped working so I took it back to my local store today with the receipt to request a replacement.



The member of staff who served me informed me that they could do the exchange but that the price had increased by £1 since I purchased the cable and so I would have to pay £1 if I wanted a replacement. I explained that I was bringing back an item as it didn't work and therefore should not have to pay extra; Tiger sold me something that was not fit for purpose and instead of apologising and simply replacing, asked me to pay the difference due to the price rise! Would you have given me money back with a replacement had the price dropped since I bought it? I very much doubt you would have!



The staff member was adamant. I asked her to check with her manager. After a protracted conversation, I was finally told that 'as a gesture of goodwill' they would do a straight swap but I was told, rather rudely, that it would not happen again as the store 'was losing money' by doing it. Yeah, and I would be 'losing money' by having to pay to replace an item I bought in good faith but which was faulty.



I won't be shopping in your stores again if this is the company's attitude. Can you clarify your policy in situations such as this? Thanks.
