Whether you want to improve your park run time or are aiming for a half or full Marathon this Spring, my coaching can help you reach your goal.
This is a small friendly group of runners guided by an experienced coach and all working at a pace that is best for them. Each run begins with a warm up and technique-focused drills followed by a variety of intervals.

1-2-1 Swim Coaching in Bishop's Stortford
Swimming is a very technical discipline where feedback from a coach can make significant performance gains, even for more experienced athletes. Improvements to technique need to be reinforced with drills, structured sessions and swimming consistently with a progressive plan. I can give you 1-2-1 input to get started, to review and improve your stroke technique or devise a plan specifically for you to build speed or endurance.
I can coach you from the poolside Grange Paddocks Leisure Centre from £45 per hour. Open water sessions can also be arranged Gosfield Lake Open Swimming once things warm up in the spring (p.o.a).

Tri Something Different…..Junior Triathlon (part of Stortford Tri Club)
On Sunday 27th January 2019 between 12 and 3pm, swimming trials will be held for children interested in triathlon. Those successful will be offered membership to the new Stortford Junior Triathlon Club Pilot starting in March 2019. The Club will then hold training sessions on Sunday mornings between 9am - 11am from 3rd March to the start of the school summer holidays, at the Bishop's Stortford College. If... a place is offered, membership and coached sessions for this Pilot will be £60. (If cost is a problem then please do contact us.)
We are looking for children to be competent in swimming the below distances in their age group category. (Aged as of 31st December 2018) 8 yrs - 50 metres 9-10 yrs - 150 metres 11-12 yrs - 200 metres 13-14 yrs - 300 metres
The training will cover swimming, running and cycling and members will need a bike capable of being ridden on grass (mountain bike, hybrid or road bike with cyclocross tyres). No previous experience of triathlon required.
Places will be limited and the trials will be on a first come first served basis, so please apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Do you know any 12-16 year-olds who would be interested in a triathlon training session on the morning of Sunday 18th November at Bishops Stortford College (apologies for the short notice but the venue only became available this week). Triathlon experience would be useful but is not essential as long as they are able to run 5km and have reasonable bike skills. The session is being run to explore interest in junior tri coaching in the town. If there is enough support and the venue works then regular sessions are likely to become available in the future. For further details and to sign up, please email or message. Places for the session are limited for safety reasons and allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

New coached run session starting Monday 19/11/2018 at 9am in Bishop's Stortford. Sessions will be limited to 10 runners so please BOOK your place. Your first taster session is FREE, £5 per session thereafter.
Open to all runners from beginners who are happy to run 5k to aspiring marathoners.
The sessions are designed to improve your running, posture and strength and not just to push up your mileage.
... Each session will begin with a warm up and drills along with a main run lasting for 45-60mins in total.
A small group means you will get plenty of feedback and encouragement to make sure you get the most from the session and so improve.

IM Wales Race Report, sorry its a bit long.
The whole of Tenby and surrounding area get massively behind the Ironman in a way I haven't seen for any other event. Every shop and hotel has an IM flag flying and everyone wants to talk about it,”Are you race?” “Have you done it before?” etc.

IM Wales - Off to Tenby tomorrow and strangely I feel as excited and nervous about this race as I did for my first iron distance in Henley 5 years ago.
Training had gone well up until the last month when a tight calf meant I missed my last 2 long runs. Thanks to Jade at The Physio and Sports Injury Clinic and lots or stretching and foam roller work I should be ok for the run🤞.
Problems running and family holiday have made for a different structure to my taper, low volume but ...did get the chance to get comfortable sea swimming. We will see how well it works.
Training Done! Planning Done! Now its time to enjoy the race and the amazing atmosphere everyone talks about in Tenby.
