I mean I’ve been here a few times and never had problems. I booked and got in early and I watched my car get rolled in at 3:30 on the dot so was feeling pretty positive. 45-1hour later I can see my car is no longer being looked at and parked outside (I assume it’s done) so I wait at reception for someone to actually stop to talk to the queue of 5 people waiting to which they all ignored us for a while until an hour later I finally get my key (I already paid so itslike... an hour to give me my key back? Really?) the only issue is communication, you got my car done each time I’ve been there fast but being alerted that I’m ready to go is the only struggle this place has.



Now I can’t talk for the customer in front of me (who left to pick up her child as she waited half as long as me and couldn’t anymore) but I do think the whole queue will agree that there should be a receptionist who stays on reception, who doesn’t walk off to sort a tyre out and not come back for an hour and ignore us all waiting. Two of the people in the queue just wanted to drop their keys off but that took an hour �

I wish I had checked this page before I booked my car in for two new tyres and an MOT.

I dropped my car off at 10.45am for an 11.00am slot (booked online 5 days previous, paid in full upfront) - I have a two year old child so told them I’d pick it up in a few hours and to call me when it was ready.

Called at 1.30pm for an update - MOT was done but was told it’s next in line for the tyres to be fitted. Ok, please call me when it’s done.

Got to 3.00pm, still no call - I called 5 times between 3.00-4.45pm and it was engaged each time - so I ended up going up there to find my car on a ramp, no one looking at it and tyres still to be changed. The staff I met earlier in the day were extremely evasive and seemed to ignore me as I was waiting for an explanation for why my car wasn’t ready. The only person who seemed to show any concern was a gentleman called AJ who helpfully asked around to find out what was going on with my car. I waited a further hour for the tyres to be changed.

Taking bookings when you don’t have the manpower to deliver is a false economy - I have three vehicles in my household - if the service had been good, I would have used FOA again. Instead I will not use the company again nor will I recommend them to anyone.

Dealer said that my brake pads needed changing, so went to F1 to get it done at a cheaper price.



The mechanic then tried to tell me that the whole discs needed changing. I had a print out of the exact thickness of the discs at home showing they were well in the tolerance level.. (i didn't show them as wanted to see if they were going to try and scam me)



I asked him how he knew they needed replacing and he showed me there was a slight lip on them...



I said just to go ahead with the pad replacement and not bother with the discs. they then said i would have to sign a form saying I wouldn't get a warranty..



Whilst they were changing the pads, the manager gave it a quick check and said "yeah i'll give you that they don't need changing" I didnt have to sign the paperwork in the end.



Also they said they were fitting Brembo's for £100ish, then when they had finished they hadn't even fitted Brembos and it was some other brand..



So i guess it pays to know what you're talking about before you go and get quoted for things that don't need doing at this garage.

Booked and paid for spare tyre to be changed (so not on car) all booked in for Saturday just gone, finally got my tyre back Sunday. To be fair the staff were great, just not enough of them to give a great customer experience!

Waited 3 and half hours to have 2 tyres changed which should take about 20 to 30mins even though I had an appointment and turned up 15 mins early. Given excuse after excuse about being understaffed and then that they couldn’t get a jack under my car so that put them back another 45mins to an hour, even though my car is a bog standard Volvo c30 R design not a Ferrari ���

Then to ad insult to injury after leaving the centre I got home to find my wheel nuts/caps had been taken off and not out back on and the ones that had been out back on are chewed up...probably by the air gun or by the tyre wrench because the tyre fitter has no idea what he is doing. When I got home at 1900 after a 1515 appointment I noticed a lot of excess sealant on the alloy but thought nothing of it. Today I cleaned the excess sealant off and discovered that both alloys have been scraped up probably by the tyre removal tool or been dropped on its face. So as you can imagine I am not best pleased. So if you read this can you reply to my emails I have sent your ‘customer care’ team. Thank you ���

Phoned up enquiring about a pair of bridgestone tyres, the manager "Joe Andrews" said he would beat a local garage "uncle tom's" price of £213 for tyres, fitment and alignment set up, they were not in stock but was told i could come down and get my alignment done in the mean time, the young lad "Paul" who i believe was still learning and didnt know how to adjust the rear, he was attempting to undo the adjustment bolt instead of the locking nut with a bar and then could not find the tools to do the job, luckily i had the tools in my car and knew how to get them undone and adjust them.



So seeing as all of this time the manager was walking passed ignoring what was going on, not advising or helping paul at all, i had to use my own tools and get under the ramp and adjust my own suspension still with the manager walking past and saying nothing.



Once it was completed i went to pay the £210 which was agreed over the phone for both tyres and wheel alignments, only to be told by the manager that it was going to cost me £60 then another £200 when the tyres arrived and were fitted with alignment again, to which considering i had to do my own adjustments with my own tools a bit cheeky, but i paid it and when i phoned later on to get the names so i could write a formal complaint i was met with a barrage of abuse from the manager being shouted and sworn at and was even told he was going to cancel the order anyway, eventually the manager hung up on me. Now i have worked in the retail industry before and would never have dreamed spoken to a customer the way your employee spoke to me, needless to say i will not be returning and will be advising everyone that i can not to use your services.

Personally I don't want to Give 1 star. First time using this garage booked in for my MOT and service. Was advised that my breaks and pads needed doing allowed them to do the work. £650 later... I then drove my car 70mph on a national road and my front wheels lock, almost killing myself and others on the road luckily I didn't... turns out the bolts on my breaks wernt fitted properly and fell off!!... after being towed home I called them and explained my situation was asked to go down and speak to them to be told there's nothing I can do legally because I didn't give them the chance to fix it... Personally after them nearly killing me I wasn't comfortable them touching my car again so I chose to use another mechanic for a 2nd opinion. They had no concern for what they did pretty much acted like it wasn't a big deal even though it involved my breaks... Personally the £90 refund they paid back for what I paid the other mechanic wasn't really satisfying or enough I paid good money to a named garage to have a good service. What's worse is a manager is suppose to check the work to day it's ok and safe and sign it off. So clearly none of them no what they are doing. Contradicted themselves as they didn't want to take responsibility but then informed me they sacked the boy that done my car (if u done nothing wrong why sack him) I was then informed by the big boss Perry who is also arrogant that it was lie.... stick to the small business companies better value for money and actually do there job

Never ever again. After 10 years of using Formula 1 Harlow I won't ever take my car here again. Missing wheel nut after breaks changed, poorly fitted exhaust that needed refitting and resealing, work carried out that I'm sure never needed doing as had been done there before but they couldn't find on their system! They lost my MOT certificate the day they did the MOT...the list goes on and on and all this cost me nearly £1000

I am writing this very very angry email about your tyre Centre in Harlow

I booked and paid for my tyres on line on Monday 19th February and made a booking to have them fitted for Wednesday 21st am

After arriving there at 10.00 am , I finally left there at 13.30 .

I think this is totally unacceptable having to wait around 3 half hours and just getting fobbed of with the excuse we don’t book a time anymore so you will have to wait .

If that is the case there should be some kind of explanation covering this on the booking site .

I paid upfront in good faith and booked in only to find your customer service totally nonexistent.

I can assure you I will not be using your service again and any chance I get will tell others to give your service a wide berth .
