We're moving house! The FF HQ is on the move and we all know what comes with moving house... stress. So this bunch is designed to help you unwind and relax. With its utopian assortment of beautiful white flowers it will instantly soothe you. Starting this floral meditation off is the wonderfully calm lisianthus that perfectly flows with the billowing gladiolis. Rose Athena harmoniously dotted alongside alstroemeria with the glorious aromatic eucalyptus Cinerea.

If flowers could talk! I think of this bunch as guests at a party. The glamini would be the bubbly tipsy one chewing your ear off.. The Lizzies would be the elegant silent one standing in the corner of the room. Trachelium would be the sarcastic, spikey one trying to talk about current affairs but not listening to your opinion. And the alstros would be the host, flitting about topping up everyones glasses up and re-filling the crisp bowl.

User

Great things come in small packages and these glamini's are no exception. Sure they may be small but they are fierce in colour and in character. Watch them open up and be the life and soul of the room!

Historically agapanthus were used for their medicinal purpose within South African tribes. Mostly used for prenatal care and as a method to induce labour. It also has been known to aid heart disease and fevers. What a clever flower! Here's one from my very own garden!

We love our Freddie’s Flowers customers – They're pretty hot at flower arranging. Here’s a gallery of some of the recent photos shared with us by Freddie’s Flower People – i.e. our lovely gang of customers. It was a month of sunflowers and colourful gladioli's. What a bright July it was! We reckon your arrangements are works of art, so they deserve their own gallery. Share your own Freddie’s Flower pics with us on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or email them over to freddie@freddiesflowers.com

With this absolutley ridiculous weather we are having the poor grass looks more like the african savannah. Remember to change the water in your vase people! Flowers get real thirsty in this heat.

User

Gosh! Is it really the end of July already??? That really has flown by. Holiday season is well and truly here. I managed to slip away to a little france get away. I thought I would share some of my french floral inspirations as I wonder around the beautiful Puy L'eveque.

User

I see the word ‘agape’ in agapanthus. Maybe it’s because it describes my facial expression when I see these lovely flowers in full bloom. Once each flower has opened wide, they join forces to make what looks just like a giant purple pom-pom.

User

Within his expansive Water Lilies (1914-26) collection, the agapanthus flower makes recurring appearances in the final years of Monet’s artwork. Along with Water Lilies, Monet’s ‘Agapanthus’ depicts Monet’s stunning water garden on the other side of the train tracks from his house in Giverny, France.

User

Other than looking jaw droppingly gorgeous, agapanthus are all about love. So we reckon phlox will ignite the love of the agapanthus in this arrangement. Phlox translates as ‘flame’ and we all know that love is a fiery emotion.

User

PHOTO OF THE WEEK! No wonder the sun is still shining if this picture is anything to go by. Thank you so much @knityourownmuesli for the picture. You've won a free box!

Here’s your very own Summer meadow in a vase: A selection of gloriously seasonal flowers bringing a fresh meadowy air into your home. http://ow.ly/GAO630l2VxO Like a floral splash of bluey purple droplets, I give you agapanthus. Perfectly complemented by the dazzling aster, perfect pink phlox, vintagey La Belle rose and popping yellow solidago.
I hope you enjoy strolling through it?

User

If there ever was an arrangement that looked like summer then this would be it.
Starting the summer fun is this perfectly seasonal mix of vibrant mini gladioli, candy floss pink lisianthus, whimsical trachelium (the broccoli of the flower world) and mysterious purple alstroemeria. All in all perfect for dusky summer evenings, working remarkably well with a glass of Pimms.
I hope you enjoy strolling through it?

User

Roses and phloxs will blow off your socks. They are just so pretty I love them too much. And hopefully you will too because they are appearing in our arrangement next week! (along with some other absolute beauties).

Little Miss Coral Sunset herself. More like Little Miss I'll Eat All Your Flowers If I Can. Here is my Little Miss looking her most lovely. Sporting her winning crown of Coral Sunset Peonies. Doesn't she look adorable?

User

No matter the weather or the grey skies, sunflowers bring sunshine into our lives. To be honest it was about time it rained. The poor grass! Drink grass, drink!

User

Nothing quite like says Summer more than a bike and some sunflowers. And in the words of Mungo Jerry himself - In the summertime when the weather is hot. You can stretch right up and touch the sky. When the weather's fine. Isn't it glorious!

User

No flower can lift someone’s spirits quite like sunflowers. They are bright and cheery, and as warm and inviting as the sweet summer sun.

User

Wow, wow, wow! I received a stunning array of flowers from my friend yesterday. They have opened up beautifully! From the moment I opened the box, the arrangement was perfectly personalised and rich in colour - considering I live in North Wales and they've travelled from London!

If flowers are good for the soul; Freddie's Flowers will be the place I solely rely on for my beautiful botanicals. 😍😍😍

User

These are the most beautiful flowers. They have lasted over a week already, and look gorgeous. So pleased I stopped to talk to the young man with a kind face, not pushy or over selling the flowers, just pleasant and friendly. Highly recommend.

User

I've been receiving Freddie's Flowers since signing up at Tatton 12 months' ago and probably average a delivery every month, opting in, which is so easy to do, when I am ready for new flowers and thus there is no commitment to weekly, fortnightly, monthly etc. It also means I can choose the flowers - if there's a box I'm not keen on I just opt in for another week.

I absolutely love seeing my flower box when delivered and, apart from the peonies which were disappointing, every other box has been fabulous. This week's gladioli are superb and I have always found their customer service to be fabulous. Flowers soothe the soul and I'm sticking with Freddie's!

User

I think Freddie’s flowers is a fantastic and beautiful idea. My first box arrived today, packaged well, beautiful box and leaflets for instructions. And they are Peonies, my favourite. I understand the weather is super hot and obviously if we can’t handle this heat our flowers definitely will be suffering. With a little drink and some food they have already started opening after an hour of them being in the vase. I cannot wait for them to open fully. Thank you for my beautiful flowers I look forward to the next delivery.

User

I received my first delivery yesterday, they are beautiful thank you. Perhaps an idea would be to give an option to set your subscription for a monthly or fortnightly delivery rather than having to log in to change it each time but great concept, very good quality product and I love the eco packaging. Looking forward to the next one

User

Bumped into these guys first at Broadway and was charmed by the little bike display. Then again at then Coffee Festival so, a little apprehensive about subscription models but decided to give it a go. It was the best idea ever!

Freddie's Flowers is such an amazing business.. I'm the biggest fan and my apartment lights up and is a happier place when the flowers are delivered and the whole household can watch them full bloom.

User

My husband signed up to this as a surprise for me, and what a lovely one it was when my first bunch of flowers arrived. This is still going strong after almost a fortnight - very impressive. Sadly though last week's peonies haven't lived up to the same standard and are ready for the bin after less than a week. I love the concept and if I thought that all bunches would be as fantastic as the first I would keep the subscription going. If last week is a reflection though I will definitely be reconsidering.

User

Met one of your sales team yesterday at Pub in the Park Tunbridge Wells - I love the flowers but feel that signing up for a subscription is not for everyone - including myself - however to send them as presents to family occasionally would be a wonderful idea although from your point of view not regular business

User

I signed upto Freddies flowers when i visited Harlow Carr last month as i thought the concept was good and the flowers you had displayed were really lovely. My first flowers were Peonies and i received them on the 3rd of July and i was a bit disappointed as they didn't look much however i put them in the vase and within 2 days i had beautiful Peonies but they only lasted a few days and after 1 week they was all but 2 dead, i am disappointed as £22 for flowers to last a few days looking good is expensive, im hoping when i get another delivery beginning of August they will do better if they don't il stick to supermarkets. Am keeping my fingers crossed as i like the concept of this business and i want to support independent businesses but my first dealings of Freddies Flowers hasn't been a great one.

User

Was convinced to try this service again by a salesman after delivery issues made me cancel my previous subscription, only to find the delivery service was still as bad. Flowers just dumped on the doorstep in full view of the street in the sun even when I'm in. Also poor substitutes are sent when supplies run out of the weekly bouquet. Its a nice idea, who doesn't love a subscription box but you could get way more for your money spending £22 at a local florist.

User

Unfortunately it has to be a 2 for me. I didnt like my experience but in fairness to the company it seems i ordered at an unfortunate time and i was one of the cursed peonie deliveries. Some good things about the company nice branding and a good idea. They are also clearly conscious about their environmental responsibility which i applaud wholeheartedly as a veggie and someone who tries my best. I was just very underwhelmed by my flowers. They were very wilted and a very small bunch. I also was expecting some more variety in the bunch. The example i was shown was nothing like what i received. I also felt mislead because i was told specifically i was signing up to one bunch and it annoyed me that i then was automatically signed up to a weekly delivery. i found that it was very difficult to get a reaponse and unsubscribe and i cant help but feel that they try and force you to call them to unsubscribe so that they can persuade you not to leave. If they have faith in their product then they would just have an unsubscribe button on the website.. it seems to me like the quality control isnt good enough and trying to make savings is leading to lots of compensatory free flowers which in turn means the bunches have to be cheap to still stay afloat. I think mine bunch would have been wholesale cost probably only 4 pounds but i paid 22. (Although i totally get the flowers themselves are such a small proportion of the companys costs). If the flowers were just less scrimpy better and people wont want to leave and wouldnt feel badly done by! It seems back to front to me. Again to reiterate the timing is unfortunate im guessing "normal service" is much better. Some people seem to be being needlessly harsh! Im sure had i got a different bunch my rating would have been much better. Sorry guys! I have been offered a compansatory bunch and im grateful for that but i dont think it would be right for me to accept as i dont intend to order again. Thank you for the offer.

User

I’ve had two orders now. I love the idea and think that the price is good. Both boxes were left on the doorstep while we were in however, without ringing the bell. The latest box of peonies have literally died in a few days and have not opened just turned brown. Really disappointed.

User

Its a beautiful concept so we signed up got our first delivery this week which was thrilling as i love peonies. However unfortunatly after following the instruction , feeding, watering and being kept in a lovely mild room, a considerable number of the heads dropped off on to the floor and were brown inside after only 1 1/2 - 2 days and only 4 flowers are just about alive but looking rather sorry for themselves since, that was after only 4 days after delivery the majority of the bunch has perished and didn't have the longevity that was promised. Lovely idea but they didnt really pick up after they were delivered as the leaflet enclosed suggested that they would. The quality in this bunch was lacking as they failed to last half a week as a bunch. They left me feeling disappointed and a little short changed. I didn't get to enjoy the flowers. The first delivery i feel has the greatest impact on the future expectations regarding the quality of the product and this one failed to deliver that product on this first occasion.

User

Did not receive my flowers last week, after constantly ringing and emailing, finally spoke to customer services and realised that had been delivered to wrong address.

Same thing has happened again this week. Can’t get through on phone and no one is answering my emails.

Gutted as both weeks are Peony weeks, my favourite flowers and was so looking forward to receiving them.

You could put it down to a mistake the first time, but for the same thing to happen the week after is just bad management. Customer service is terrible. They never follow anything up or reply to phone calls or emails. Have paid for flowers I have not received

User

Dear Freddie

I received flowers that I hadn’t ordered yesterday. When I signed up I specifically told the sales person that they should not leave my flowers outside my door as I live in central London and it can get stolen. I asked them to simply ring my bell so I can open the door. This instruction is clearly stated in my account as well which I’m sure you can see. Despite this , I opened my door and there they were, flowers I hadn’t ordered, sitting outside my door again.

I have since read many many reviews of your company where the issue of difficulty in cancelling the account has been raised. Also, the company’s unresponsive habits where phones and emails are not answered in a timely manner making it difficult for customers to cancel their account has been mentioned by many of your customers . As a business person myself, I think you should listen to your customers and make changes to improve your services. I have given you2 stars only because I like the flowers but due to the poor customer service, I would like to close my account. Please could you help this happen as I’m not getting a reply by email and I can’t get through by phone, the 2 methods you suggest for getting in touch. You should really consider making it easier for your customers.

User

Signed up at The Ripley Castle Home’s and Gardens show, have received 2 boxes of peonies which were absolutely wilted the second box I received this week were worse than the first. I am trying to cancel my subscription by phone and email but no joy yet and nobody has got back to me, just had an email that says if you are enjoying your flowers recommend a friend! I can buy better fresher flowers at my local Sainsbury!!

User

If you’ve been sent the “free” vase, beware: it may spontaneously crack and spill all the water all over your table/floor. This happened to us this morning- spent over an hour mopping up the dining table, soaked chairs and wooden floor. Watch out!

User

I own a florist in a very small town called Malmesbury where there are two of us trying to make a living (you know feed kids pay mortgages etc!)

Your company came to our small town twice last week and pitched up a bike in the high street and started to sell yourselves.

At this point I had no problem you see on both days my till kept on dinging.

However the second day you came, your sales man approached one of my customers who politely told you she ‘supports her local florists’ to which he replied ‘I won’t tell them if you don’t’.

I wanted you to know that this is not about competition on any level- (i thrive on it and my actual competition is my best mate) it’s about a big London company coming to rural areas and doing business in a douchey way! Not cool! Good day!

User

I got stopped at the weekend in Altrincham and filled in my details but not my card details as I would never sign up to something in the street and wanted to go home and think about it. To my complete shock I received flowers yesterday shortly followed by an email asking for payment for flowers I neither ordered or pre paid for!!! I was interested in the concept but feel this company have been completely underhand and can’t quite fathom why you would send flowers that hadn’t been agree to and paid for! I have emailed and rang the company with no response or answer. Shocking selling and marketing on their part and I will not pay £22 for a small bunch of flowers I could quite easily have bought (through choice) from Tesco. Do not recommend.
