Free Associations: Psychoanalysis and Culture, Media, Groups, Politics

Free Associations Journal Description

Free Associations is a leading peer-reviewed journal on the non-clinical aspects of psychoanalysis and related psychodynamic approaches to psychotherapy, groups, politics, institutions, media and culture.
The journal provides space for the exploration of psychoanalysis and its relation to culture and the media, broadly defined. It aims to embrace all psychoanalytic approaches ranging from the clinical to theoretical and scholarly applications. We welcome contributions from a range of academic disciplines including, for example, cultural studies, film studies, media studies, literature, drama, art, history, studies of identity, critical theory, anthropology, feminism, philosophy, psychosocial studies and social sciences as well as all subjects that include a psychoanalytic (or psycho-dynamic) dimension. All submissions – whether original articles, reviews of books, cultural events /phenomena or media, letters to the editor, conference reports etc – should address matters related to psychoanalysis and its application in the clinical, media and /or cultural spheres.
