Super fun night here for my hen party last Saturday. Staff were amazing and the atmosphere was lovely Will definately be returning!! Thank you all x
Staff are great really helpful unlike most Soho venues who assume everyone is drunk by default, fantastic music above all else its open late. Highly recommend.
So I've been to freedom a fair few times and the times I have been we're okay . However! yesterday my friend who I haven't seen in years had a spontaneous catch up for cocktails and decide to go into Freedom instead of the IVY brasserie as we had great service there in IVY but Freedom was next to us.
Anyways what can I say Rudolph served us at our table, made sure our drinks were never empty. Happy hour cocktails ! Amazing and the Sauvignon Blanc was lush!
Also the door man I think he been there for a while. An older guy is brilliant! He is fair and very polite he like one of the very few door men in London that sets a great example, how security should be run. Thank you Rudolph for the brilliant service and thank you Freedom for a brilliant atmosphere I am definitely coming back more often.
I’ve been there a lot but this time I’ve had my birthday celebration there and I couldn’t ask for more!!! Everything was super easy and smooth from booking the venue (which was for free) to arranging everything... the staff were very very helpful and friendly and really made my night much better than what I expected... even the bottles of alcohol we bought (god knows how many lol) were fair prices and great quality... thank you so much guys :))
Keep it up
I searched all over London to get a vodka martini with olives to garnish and could not find a place, until the lovely bar tender at freedom made me one!
Had the most fantastic evening at Freedom Bar... great atmosphere, excellent cocktails, brilliant music and 2 poles!!! Whoop whoop!!
Coco's show was hilarious, interactive and hugely entertaining!
Door staff really looked after us when outside the venue and we're a great laugh... felt very safe
Bar staff and floor staff were really attentive... even though the club was full, we didn't have to wait to be served.
Thanks to everyone there... a brilliant night! Can't wait to go again... certainly found a new soho home
Great evening at Freedom Bar Saturday night, great atmosphere, excellent staff , the people and the music was very nice. I recommend this beautiful bar and i will come back with pleasure on my next trip to London. I loved this place
Freedom Bar is one of the best bars in London! I absolutely love this place, amazing cocktails, really professional but cool staff & beautiful decor. Alcohol 🍷 + poles+ great vibes makes this Pole dancer a very happy person! Freedom has some gorgeous faces & crazy buzzing cabaret shows on a Monday & Wednesday night, what more could you ask for!! Can’t wait to visit again, this place is addictive 😜
Couldn't have ask for anything better. We all felt looked after and welcomed. Everyone was friendly and helpful, nothing being too much. We were a mixed aged/orientation group so a little concerned but the wonderful atmosphere and areas meant at everyone was catered for. The entertainment was spot on, again not embarrassing us too much as we were a little to merry and happy. The Fabulettes were wonderful, songs being spot on for singing and dancing, finishing off on the dancing poles, again everyone let each other have a go and no judging. Please thank everyone on behalf of us and I know that some of my party are already planing their next trip to the club because they were so impressed.
Booked a last minute table for my birthday last night and the staff treated us so well. Our drinks were ready for us as soon as we sat down, we had a great booth in the cocktail bar and had a lovely evening. A member of staff even tried to get us another table downstairs when we were finished upstairs - unfortunately there were none available but it was refreshing to be looked after so well. Thank you for a lovely evening!
Big shout out to the security staff who were working last night. Very friendly and welcoming which is a real change from what I usually see in bars and clubs. As the evening progresses I was a little too drunk and was in the smoking area. The male security guard put his arm on my back and guided me to the side and said he'll give me some time to centre myself before heading back in which is also unseen from security in other establishments where the norm is usually to kick people out without Raven speaking to people. Very refreshing to see and meant I could continue my graduation celebrations with my friends from drama school.
Lastly the cabaret was fantastic and had no weak links!
Freedom, you've made a loyal patron out of me- FANTASTIC!
Amazing place. Loved the show in the Tina after party. Staff are fabulous x
Always in Love, especially with good Souls and very well dressed.
Absolutely great place. We had a totally fantastic time. The barman was great the cocktails amazing
It's a nice small place with a cool basement where they host a bunch of great events. I've played Kinky Kabaret a few times as well as booked a bunch of private events there myself, and the management are all really wonderful to work with. I once embarrassed myself and mistook the owner for a patron trying to get in before they opened for business and advised him they were closed (just trying to be helpful) and he just laughed it off. Their sound-guy is absolutely fantastic, btw.
Tbh ... the place is great and very popular, went there with friends and ordered one double vodka coke and one double vodka with RedBull ... £21.30!! Seriously who charge prices like that!! Ridiculous and pointless at the same time. Bar staff not particularly friendly and their banter with customers is just off putting ... plenty more places to go in soho and much cheaper
My husband was assaulted by a member of the staff. Last night, with a group of friends, we were having a good time dancing in the downstairs club of Freedom Bar, when at some point a member of the staff who was going around the floor to clear tables from glasses, turned to my husband who was dancing and did not touch him, told him “Don’t do this to me” and really aggressively gave him a strong push back by his shoulder. A moment later he came back and with very aggressive attitude continued to speak to my husband who couldn’t understand what he had to say and stepped away to avoid confrontation.
Our group was shocked because this was not only uncalled for, but we never had a staff member of a place we are visiting as paying clients laying their hands on us or making us feel unwelcome and unsafe.
I spoke to a manager who was apologetic, however the guy continued with his shift and ruined our night. We left soon after.
We won’t visit Freedom Bar again as the manners of some of their staff are completely rude and unacceptable, and we feel it is no longer a Gay friendly environment.
In the heard of Soho.
Shame on you.
Firstly the star rating isn't indicative of my usually experience here - I always have a great time. It's more to do with a problem that the bar currently seems to have with theft, which I've experienced for the last 2 weeks. I write so people can be aware and vigilant.
I visited the bar last night, and had a great time for the most part - I go quite a lot as it's one of the better bars in soho.
However, during my visit my wallet was stolen, and an attempt was made to access my account via the ATM machines on Dean street, which I only knew about because my bank text me on the night to flag up unusual activity on my card (the amounts attempted to be withdrawn were large). I did the necessary and called them and cancelled the card.
I told the staff at the bar on the front desk, who noted it and soon after they found my wallet inside the bar, with the card still inside (though missing money and an oyster card). This I find really strange. It would be bizarre for someone to steal my wallet, leave the bar to go to the ATM, fail to get money and then return to the bar and presumable dump my wallet back there - it doesn't make sense. Clearly I didn't drop the wallet by mistake as the attempted fraud was made so if was definitely stolen.
It happened in a short space of time, after I made a transaction at the bar using my pin (however, I believe the amount to be under £30 so I'm not sure why I was directed to do that - though I understand sometimes machines are temperamental).
What is even stranger is that I was in the bar the previous week and the EXACT SAME THING happened to my friend - his card was stolen after making a pin transaction, and again the thief went to ATM machines to try to get cash. It is just too similar to be a coincidence.
So, the reason for writing is to make you aware that there seems to be someone (or several people) operating in the bar as thieves, watching customers make a transaction and then stealing their wallet/card. It's either that, or a member of the bar staff is cloning cards ( less likely I know, but the fact that it has happened twice, to me and my friend, and that my wallet was found back in the bar is a very strange).
I would also like to mention the lady at the front desk (I didn't catch her name - dark hair, black suit, I assumed part of the management staff on the night) as she was fantastic. She took my complaint on straight away and came to find me to return the wallet which they had found. I really did appreciate that.
Well down from Scotland and we all had a great time! Exciting place full of interesting people and a fab vibe!
