2. Lors de votre seconde visite, les gouttières sont essayées. Votre dentiste vous expliquera comment les remplir de gel, quand et comment les appliquer. Il vous remettra aussi des seringues de gel de blanchiment.� �Vous portez votre gouttière pendant votre sommeil six à sept heures chaque nuit, pendant une semaine. Le degré d’éclaircissement varie d’un patient à l’autre, selon la durée d’utilisation du système.� �Il est également possible, dans des cas extrêmes, d’effectuer une première séance d’éclaircissement au fauteuil, qui sera suivi du traitement ambulatoire classique.
Peut-il y avoir des effets secondaires? Pendant le traitement, vous pouvez ressentir des sensibilités. Ceci n’est absolument pas dangereux. Il suffit d’arrêter le traitement pendant 2 ou 3 jours. Si les sensibilités sont importantes, il existe un gel fluoré à porter en alternance avec le gel de blanchiment. Différentes études montrent que les techniques de blanchiment, lorsque le protocole est respecté, ne comportent aucun risque. Les résultats sont durables. Vos dents resteront toujours plus blanches qu’elles ne l’étaient auparavant. Certains patients auront besoin d’un rappel périodique d’une à deux nuits, 6 à 12 mois après le traitement initial.

Bruxism is the medical term for unconscious teeth clenching and grinding, either while awake or asleep, which can lead to physical painful and severe dental problems. Chronic teeth grinding can cause headache, earaches, facial pain, and even migraines. Dental problems from bruxism include lose of tooth enamel, increased t...ooth sensitivity, and flattening and/or chipping of the teeth. Bruxism sufferers who grind and clench their teeth while sleeping frequently wake up with a sore jaw. Hypertrophy of the masseter muscle, which may lead to the appearance of a severe square jaw, is another side effect of bruxism. Treatments with Botulinum Toxin Type A., commonly known as Botox, can provide tremendous relief from jaw soreness, headaches, and other unpleasant problems associated with Bruxism.
