Freshtime UK Ltd is a leading supplier of chilled, value added, ready-to-eat salads, snacks, prepared vegetables and sandwich fillers to leading multiple retailers and food service operators. Based in Boston, Lincolnshire, in the UK’s fresh produce heartland, the company employs 350 people.
Freshtime was created in 1993 by farmer co-operative ELGRO (East Lincolnshire Growers), and in 2000 there was a management led buy-out. In recent years more than £14 million has been invested in Freshtime’s purpose-built 82, 500 square feet site to develop the firm’s production capabilities.
Freshtime produces over 170 different product lines, from stir fry vegetables to couscous and pasta salads, deli fillers, soups and dips.
Freshtime was included in The Grocer’s Fast 50 list of growing food businesses in November 2012 and 2013. Freshtime has recently had products nominated and winning in the food to go categories of the Q Awards and The Grocer awards, and has won customer supplier of the year award for a major multiple retailer.

Today we said goodbye to Steve Dickinson who, after 15 years of working at Freshtime, has decided to retire. Our high care team collaborated together to buy him a bottle of Jack Daniels and he was gifted a cheque from Freshtime for a lovely meal out. We wish him all the best for the future. We're getting into the festive spirit!
Over the last couple of days we've treated every member of staff to a full roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings, followed by Millionaire's cheesecake and mince pies, courtesy of A Country Kitchen "Meals on Wheels".
We can't believe it's been a week already since we had a visit from Boston Police Force!
We presented them with a cheque for £500 to be donated to Boston's Pilgrim Hospital, to put towards the building of a sensory room on the children's ward.

We were so proud to attend the Co-op Pioneer Awards in Manchester last night, and to come home with an award was the icing on the cake!
We're pleased to say that we won the Succeeding Together award for our collaboration with the Co-op on their Value Chain project.
John Moulding and Steve Evans received the award on stage from the Co-op's Matt Hood and compere Myleene Klass.
It's HRH The Prince of Wales' 70th birthday, so we thought we'd re-share the photos from his visit to us earlier this year.
It was an absolute pleasure to welcome him to our site.
