Really enjoyed the recent talk on cannibalism at the Crofters and thought the time left for Q&A afterwards made it even better. I love the idea of these talks and will be attending many more, hoping to get my 6th free one soon!

I've seen a lot of one star reviews from people who seem to be offended by the talk content (but who didn't attend, so you can ignore the star rating since they are completely uninformed), and to be honest if these topics fluster you then they're just not for you and, on the other hand, maybe branch outside your comfort zone and learn something new :)

My friend and I enjoyed the Secret of London Tour a couple of weeks ago. I booked it on line and was absolutely delighted with the whole experience.

As stated in the confirmation email our guide would meet us under the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square at 1.30pm. On the dot our guide Gavin appeared.

He was a first class guide who kept us captivated throughout the tour. He was very knowledgeable, personable and professional.

I would definitely recommend this tour Infact I already have.

If you have moved to London or your life needs a lift Funzing could be your new best friend. The one who knows whats happening, where to go for talks and ideas to take you out of your rut and boring habits, to introduce you to interest people, people you wouldn't meet any other place. There are serious thoughtful events, fun things to do, people to meet through an efficient helpful group who run Funzing

User

I went to the dark matters for beginners talk last night and it was brilliant. So interesting and I was delighted to be able to understand everything! It was presented in such an enthusiastic way that you couldn’t help but also get really excited about what dark matter could be! Will definitely be attending more of these events. Great way to spend an evening

I went to my first Funzing event invited by a friend - a talk on Lucid Dreaming in Bristol - a subject am really interested in. I was impressed with the speed of messages prior and after the event. As an event organiser myself, I thought 'mmmh I like how on the case they are.. maybe I should try them' So I did: They offered an excellent service, promoting us on their own platform ,allowing us to use other platforms, regular emails/texts, easy to see at a glance tickets sold and how much money is coming in. easy links to click, easy guest messaging and guest list print outs, quick responses to my queries and support to manage our events online. LOVE FUNZING - right up my street...! PS: Life happens, mistakes can be made and things might slip under the radar - but nothing is perfect. However take your chances - I highly recommend Funzing 100%.. Thank you Funzing team will be using you again for sure!

User

I just want to say thank you fo Freddy from Funzing team. I basically messed up my friend's birthday present but she tried her best to sort something out for me. Really friendly and I can't explain how thankfu I am. Thank you again!!

User

I can’t speak highly enough of the staff at Funzing, so due to the sprinkling of snow we’ve had today and the halt is brought upon the transport system here in the uk me and my friends cannot make a talk tonight.....not a problem the lady says to me, we will just swap your tickets to another day! Awesome!!! Thankyou so much!!

User

I basically spend all my money on Funzing experiences and it is amazing. There is such a variety, and I have been a member for a good while now and been able to see it grow and improve. From talks to workshops to walks to exercise classes, there is something for everyone pretty much every day of the week, with a range of prices and a great loyalty/ reward scheme as well! Highly recommended

I attended 2 Funzing events recently and they were both amazing. One on Halloween-a walk around Aldgate and Whitechapel visiting locations of famous historical crimes. The tour guide was incredibly informative and the tour was fun and fascinating. My only very minor criticism would be that he spoke incredibly fast so before you had a chance to absorb what he was saying he was on to the next thing. Good in that an awful lot of information was crammed into the hour and a half but I noticed a lot of people expressing confusion, especially since the group was quite large it wasn't always possible to get close enough to easily hear what was being said. A few of the customers seemed to disconnect as a result. The second was the Haunted pub tour from Hampstead to Highgate on Nov 5th which I loved-this one had the addition of actors re-living some of the crimes being described which was good fun. I look forward to many more.

User

I am hosting an event on this site. Very impressed with the work of Alex setting us up, Jess in events and Freddy helping me out on the live chat - all very helpful and friendly

User

Funzing is the beeeeeeeeest. So many fun things, just what London has been missing, if you're bored or not give it a go. My first event was a kimono class which was lots of fun, the host was so lovely. Couldn't speak more highly of their talks too, have learned loads and can't wait to go again.

User

Funzing is my new obsession. Love the range of talks and locations. If I miss one then it's usually repeated so I don't miss out. Love it!

User

Due to the weather, had a good message that I may wish to pick another date for a workshop - good reminder. I found another date on the website calendar and contacted Funzing and it was done really quickly and confirmed. So great service and efficient.

I have been attending Funzing events for a while now and really enjoy them - even when coming alone. There is a good variety. Maybe one day I will be a host at an event.

Sending me text notifications when I have notifications off. Then when I pressed stop following and went back to the page it still says I’m following. Funzing? Harazing more like!

User

1. Talk started at 7:30, not 7 as stated. I have subsequently been contacted by Funzing to inform me I would have received info that show only starts at 7:30. Went back and checked all confirmation emails. Nothing saying that.

2. Speaker was disorganised. Screen setup was poor

3. Talk was not interactive

4. Venue felt more like nightclub than location for informative lecture

Unfortunately having travelled 1.5 hrs each way from Kent, I won't be in a rush to attend another. Not my cup of tea.

User

i got a text saying that the date was moved 10 minutes before doors were supposed to open! i won’t be living here anymore by that time so i asked to get the full ticket price including travelmoney (took me over 2 hours to get there). they refund the ticket price and gave me a COUPON for 5£!!!! that does not even cover one way and what am i supposed to do with a coupon if i dont live in the uk anymore anyways???

User

I booked an event last week which I paid for and when I got to the venue there was nothing and no one there. I waited for 30 minutes, checked my emails, and spoke to a waiter but no one knew of the event. There was no signage, and so I called the Funzing number and no one replied.

I wasted time, money and energy getting to an event that did not take place. I wrote them an email and apparently they said they changed the venue last minute and told everyone by email and that there was a sign outside.

There was NO sign outside, and they did NOT send me an email notifying me of a cancellation of the event or a change of location.

I made a special effort as their talk looked interesting even though I had an early flight the next morning.

Do not book with them.

User

I am not usually one to complain however here I am.

Last month me and my wife booked onto a Sushi crawl in Manchester. We had been looking forward to it all month and last night was the night.

Upon arrival me and my wife were told by the meeting point restaurant that the event was cancelled. I therefore called the event owner who confirmed this and told me that I should have received text confirmation of this. I understand mistakes happen so I accepted this and discussed a potential refund/rearrangement with him.

However within minutes there was a small congregation of expected attendees and after discussions, it was clear that nobody had received the said text message. We had all had a text message the night before reminding us of the event.

I don't think it's acceptable at all that the restaurant was informed of the cancellation yet the customers weren't.

Me and my wife have ended up out of pocket due to travel arrangement and other costs, every penny of those costs could have been avoided with efficient communication.
