. IMPORTANT NEWS . It is with a very heavy heart that we need to share with you some news. With our existing lease coming to an end you can imagine our disappointment when our landlord informed us he had accepted an offer from two of our neighbours who have watched us grow over the past couple of years - particularly galling for José given his passion and dedication in building our reputation 👨🏽‍🍳 .... Currently we believe our last day in our current premises will be 3rd November and until then it is business as usual for the next two weeks . We love it here in Tonbridge and we are actively searching for new premises but as yet do not have a suitable option . José has been asked to help launch a new Italian restaurant in Tunbridge Wells which will keep him busy in the interim . Went here for dinner a few weeks ago. Had a nice time with some really good and very authentic food.

The flaming chorizo was delicious and it literally arrives on fire.

The prawns for starter are also great too.

Great selection of main courses, I hope to go back soon so I can sample more of the menu before deciding on a favourite.

The best part comes at the end when we had the homemade pastel de nata, easily the best I have had outside of actually being in Portugal.



I would definitely recommend and hope to go back soon.

This place is a little gem in town. We have been many times and never had a bad meal. The pork with clams is absolutely amazing.

The best food and wines in Tonbridge, nuff said.

Such a lovely meal here today with two small children. Lovely welcoming service. Food was great. Squid and chorizo. Prawns. Fish and Peri Peru chicken. Thoroughly recommend.

Probably my favourite restaurant in Tonbridge, amazing food, great value and wonderful staff. Steadily working my way through the menu....Really hope they'll introduce the Prawn starter as a main.....sublime :-)

Love this little place. Love the food, the sangria and how you can just chill and drink a fabulous espresso and eat a home made chocolate mousse. Oh and they also have Portuguese custard tarts.

I had the pleasure of eating here last. For starter I had a flaming Chorizo and sea-bass for main. I was worried it would be a small portion for the price... I was so wrong. A WHOLE sea-bass with eyes�!

Next time I’m in the area I will defiantly be eating here �

Garfo Douro is a hidden gem in Tonbridge. Slightly off the beaten track down Avebury Avenue, this place offers fantastic Portuguese food freshly cooked to order by José. The choice on the menu is great, if you fancy meat or fish there are plenty of options. They cannot help you enough and cater for all dietary requirements whether gluten free, vegan or anything else they will put together a dish just for you. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Food is amazing, especially the prawns. I have been sending all my friends there and they are so impressed. Please get listed on Just Eat so we can order deliveries!
