This involves connecting a video directly to the brain.
This is not entirely new and earlier trials did not give much resolution but there was some improvement.

Rory Cellan Jones, the BBC Technology Editor has posted a video diary detailing his treatment for a melanoma in his eye.
We have has a number of Pxs with this very serious condition and the only previous treatment was either the removal of the eye (enucleation) which is very traumatic for the patient, or a radioactive disc stitched to the eye.
This new treatment provides a much more targeted approach.
