As of October 2018, in the UK, if you are involved in a car accident and you suffer soft tissue injuries e.g. whiplash, you will no longer be able to benefit from legal representation: if you want to make a claim for compensation you must represent yourself in court against the might of your insurance company. Even if you are successful, the most you will be able to claim is:-
£225 for injures lasting up to three months, £450 for injuries lasting up to six months, £765 for ...injuries lasting up to nine months, £1,190 for injuries lasting up to a year, £1,820 for injuries lasting up to 15 months, £2,660 where the injury lasts up to 18 months and £3,725 where the injury lasts up to two years.
