Grafton Club

We are looking for crib players to give us all something to do on a Tuesday night. Aside from keeping you out of mischief (!!!) crib is a competitive and fun game - if you are a rusty player that is no problem at all. There are six of us so far - we would like to have at least eight pairs (we will play singles too) and get a tournament under way in the spring! Please let us know if you are interested.

Sunday Poker is back! Join Andrew and the crew on SUNDAY 9th SEPTEMBER at 7.30pm sharp. 10% of the pot goes to our club charities.

A wonderful family day at The Grafton Club, New Malden! Despite dreadful weather Zig, Paul and Lynsey managed to create some shelter in our secret garden area for the barbecue. Carol, Ian and Iris bought in some lovely produce from the allotment, Mark cooked some great burgers and bangers while Paul and Kim took orders and held the marquee tent down when the wind gusted. Zig and Lynsey kept us alive with piping hot tea. In the evening Kelly Walsh entertained us with some belting tunes - thank you Kelly! Our wonderful members and volunteers gave this day their fantastic support - we could not do this without you all! Thank you everyone! ♥️

All set for the August Garden Party and BBQ Sunday 26th August? We kick off at midday with Mark and the gang on the grill with Carol and Ian's delicious home produce (and Kim's deadly chilli ketchup). Families welcome - plenty for the kids to do! If you can help on the day (small tasks we promise!) just let us know! Make sure you BOOK A BABYSITTER for the evening's party and LIVE MUSIC!

HELP! We need volunteers for the BBQ on SUNDAY AUGUST 26th. These are small jobs, so it won't spoil your enjoyment on the day. An extra two volunteers (we had five last time) would make such a difference! If you could help... we would be very grateful:
Setting up games for the children Putting out tables for food/extra umbrellas out front for shade Fetching the barbeque and gas from the shed Making sure that volunteers on the BBQ have drinks and hand washing water Taking glasses back to the bar if we are busy Disposing of waste food, used paper plates Taking the barbeque/gas back to the shed Storing the children's games Putting out the dance floor for the evening (if required)

SUNDAY POKER IS BACK!

Our second and final family event of the year - summer has flown by but what a great time we have all had with family and friends - like a long holiday! On BANK HOLIDAY SUNDAY 26th AUGUST we have a family BBQ between 12-4pm when Carol and Ian will be serving a home grown feast from their allotment. Book your babysitter for the evening when we welcome back singer Kelly Walsh from 7pm.

Thank you to everybody who attended our garden party and live gig yesterday! The Deputies played and absolutely blinding gig, superb night! Thankyou xxx

COME ON ENGLAND!

OK - TOMORROW! The Grafton Club debut at NEW MALDEN FORTNIGHT. If you want to ride on the float, march or cheer us on we start from the club, dressing up the float/ourselves from 11am then leaving for the parade at 2pm. Lynsey and I are sprinting back to the club to get ready for the BIG MATCH, ENGLAND vs SWEDEN in the FIFA WORLD CUP 2018!

Dear friends and colleagues Today I paid in the remaining charities fund for 2017-2018 - £260 to The British Heart Foundation and £500 to Prostate Cancer UK. The money was raised at our summer parties, the quiz, Halloween, donations via the Prostate Cancer UK tin behind the bar and regular donations from our Sunday Texas Holdem Poker.
