Green Rooms Hotel

About Green Rooms Hotel

A pioneering and unique arts hotel, situated in Wood Green, London.

Green Rooms is a place to stay, a place to work and a place to play.

Green Rooms Hotel Description

Green Rooms Hotel, the brainchild of Nick Hartwright and Kurt Bredenbeck, is London's first arts hotel. A not-for-profit institution principally designed for artists visiting and working in London.

The hotel offers affordable accommodation in a beautiful setting that inspires creativity.

Considered a "game-changer", addressing London's affordable hotel crisis, the effect of Green Rooms on the hotel industry will hopefully ripple out across London.

Green Rooms is also a creative centre, working with some of London's leading cultural institutions, such as Somerset House, The Royal Court and Soho Theatre. Green Rooms encourages diverse and curious guests to engage in an exciting programme of exhibitions (there is a top floor gallery space), performance and arts-related launch events.

We are also currently the proud home of COLOMBIAN STREET KITCHEN! As part of our restaurateur carousel scheme. . . Come and try Esteban's tantalising menu!

Green Rooms is a play to stay, a place to work, and a place to play. It is a place for practice, rehearsal (we have studio spaces available too) and collaboration.

This is an awesome place with a chill vibe. Pretty much right across from Wood Green station, it is perfect for hanging out with friends or grabbing a book and reading. It's sort of a blend between cafe and bar and the staff are really top notch and friendly. I've spent quite a few nights there studying on my laptop and it's a pretty great scene.

The best thing to happen to Wood Green in an age. Great vibe, friendly, arty. Interesting food pop-ups, nice cocktails. The comedy night upstairs is brilliant too: well curated, great talent, the right side of home grown & an awesome resident drag queen.

Stayed while I was working as volunteer for Women's March London and was a most wonderful experience. Very accessible, right by tube station, sensibly priced and pleasantly accommodating. The entire vibe was genuine and laid back. The style thought out the space was relaxed , with hotel room details attended to and a classic , modern, sincere styling. I look forward to my return visit with my daughter and husband..Oh and good prices on drinks and food.

Really nice bar located at the centre of Woodgreen opposite Woodgreen Station, it's everything I would expect from an arts bar with a chilled out ambient atmosphere which is very different to the area directly outside.

The staff have always been very friendly, and attentive, never had to wait at the bar to be served.

I Love Beavertown beer so this is an Oasis in a desert of drinking establishments in Woodgreen

This bar is a secret gem of Woodgreen,

I haven't stayed in the hotel area as I am very local so cannot comment, but The room rates seem very reasonable for a London location right next to an underground station.

Also remember you're a quick walk away from the stunning Alexandra Palace so a perfect location after going to a concert, darts, exhibition etc

Old structure with historic simple but, beautiful interior. Very near to tube station. They have great bar and delicious restaurant. The staff is very helpful , hardworking and kind. My visit to London is memorable and the hotel staff has given good contributions to it. Restaurant cook is genius. I am vegetarian and cook gives me every day different and delicious food that I never had before and I never forget the test.

Just a really special place. A real oasis with a simple and unique interior filled with books and printmaking. Calm and friendly service and simple yummy food when and if required. A great bed ensures a great nights sleep. Definitely would recommend and will be back...

I love this place. Great bar and kitchens and the comedy night was excellent (so good to have so many LGBTQ comedians!) The hotel has discounts for #artists - I live too close to ever stay here but I wish I could!

I live quite near Wood Green and have passed Green Rooms Hotel so many times without going in. Yesterday, that all changed and I'm happy to say I will be back lots in the future. I love the vibe of this place and it's such a nice addition to the Wood Green area. I'm also really excited to see how many more amazing chefs they bring in under their Kitchen Incubator Programme. The staff here were so helpful and really helped drive the chilled out "living room" vibe of the place. Guests of the hotel seemed happy, customers seemed relaxed melting into some very comfy chairs, and I cannot recommend Columbia Street Kitchen enough for some of the best and most exciting food I have ever had. Great experience guys! Thank you.

User

I enjoyed my stay. awesome place, well done inside, nice atmosphere, room comfortable.

User

How exciting for London to have a hotel principally for artists and people working in the arts. A great team behind this place, really tasty food and fantastic recommendations - the staff are really in the loop with exhibitions, shows and plays etc.

On the Piccadilly Line you're in Central London quickly, but more importantly - East London - you just go to Finsbury Park (two stops) cross the platform and catch a tube to Highbury (1 stop) and then then take the overground (2/3/4 stops down to Dalston/Haggerston/Shoreditch) sounds complicated but it's actually mega quick!

User

Had an awesome time at the comedy last night!! Thank you Green Rooms xxx

Great chilled out vibe, comfy seating, tasty food and nice beer and wine with relaxed music and local families and dogs all enjoying the space together. What more could you want of a bar/lounge?! Very pleased to have this down the road

User

Amazed to find such a nice place right by Wood Green tube station. Very pleasant bar, excellent service and friendly atmosphere. We went for the comedy night but worth coming back just for a drink.

A gem of a find in an area not previously noted for it's luxury at least as far as hotels are concerned! Staff and welcoming, friendly and efficient. Rooms are plush and have an esoteric feel to them. If you like your hotels eclectic, individual and interesting. My only minor complaint is the failure to offer a breakfast at least on weekends?

That aside, I recommend Green rooms unreservedly!

Finally stopped by for a pint. Like the atmosphere very much, it's along similar lines to karamel vegan restaurant round the corner, being based in buildings of similar age but different usage. Bit slow on service at lunchtime, but the server was lovely. Glad this building didn't get converted into expensive flats that locals couldn't afford. A nice space by the bus stops that doesn't have sports on 24/7, as much as I like sports. The music choice is not mainstream either, also very refreshing. I'll be back to try out the food soon!

User

Awesome Nigerian food on this month! I took my slightly unadventurous 75 year old geordie dad, and he was also blown away by the bangin flavours and super friendly staff. Thanks for a lovely lunch :)

User

This rating is for the coffee. The staff do not know how to make it. It's consistently overheated and tastes burnt. Please, please train your staff! Also, on my last visit I was misgendered. If you are not sure of someone's gender, then do not address them as Madam or Sir as getting it wrong can cause offence!
