This old tree trunk has now become a beautiful feature in area C. Its a shame the tree didn't survive, as it would have been the biggest tree in the Park, rivalled only by the huge Oak in our ash scattering area.

This is our resident Crow. He pecks at the windows and digs earth out of our planters and makes a general nuisance of himself. He also spends a lot of time on the office roof, we have moments when we wonder if he'll come through our skylight windows.

User

Brambles are not the prettiest plant to look at and we certainly do have quite a lot of them but they do look lovely when ladden with blackberries.

We had this VW Camper Van Hearse at the Park the other week. Families go to great lengths to make a loved one's Funeral personal and special and this is a great example. Thank you to Kate at Volkswagon Funerals - https://bit.ly/2JTy5wC

Today we say farewell to Katherine Waite (Kate) as she embarks on an exciting new life in Somerset. Known as the 'dog-whisperer', Kate will be sorely missed by everyone in the Chiltern team and by our many families.

This is Rob, our Woodland Supervisor, receiving his certificate and badge for working at GreenAcres for 5 years. He is an integral part of the Park and responsible for seeing that the woodland stays looking natural yet kempt.

User

Why not just come and have a walk around our beautiful Woodland, we have plenty of lovely spots to sit and contemplate for a while.

User

With Wedding season in full swing, we have had the pleasure of seeing the Woodland Hall fully decorated, adding to it's natural splendour.

Our new Volunteer, Rosemary, took these amazing photos from around the Park. I'm sure there will be many more from her in the near future.

An interesting article from the Telegraph.

Thistles are possibly not the most desired flower to have in the garden but you can't deny they are quite beautiful. Spear Thistle and Marsh Thistle pictured.

It is our monthly coffee morning tomorrow. All are welcome for cake and a chat, so come along and join us from 10am - 12noon.

This Bracken seems slightly late to the party! The majority of the Bracken in the Park is now waist height or higher.

It's National Parks Week - so why not visit your local GreenAcres park for a gentle stroll and let us know what wildlife you can spot! We're always interested to hear about the animals our visitors have seen around the park. Image:hannahduffy.com

Kate, one of our Customer Service Advisors and an avid animal lover, doing her bit for the Bee's, feeding it sugar water.

We realise it's the middle of Summer and this is a photo of our Christmas Tree but it's surprising how much it's grown since Spring. The new growth is such a vibrant green.

User

The little things . . . We recently placed these logs around the chain on our Woodland Hall, they look stunning as people enter, with Wedding or Funeral flowers on them.

User

A beautiful feather from a Jay. We don't see Jay's around the Park very often but they are striking when they fly past with the bright blue colour on their wings.

User

We now sell jewellery and 'keep-sake' urns, both of which can hold a small amount of ashes, for those who would like to keep their loved ones close to them.

Our Daughter was married at GreenAcres in April. What an amazing place for a wedding. The woodland setting and the incredible Celebration Hall made for a truly unforgettable experience. The staff could not have been more helpful, if it was in their power to do something they would. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to make the day special.

We had been struggling to find a venue that would accommodate a large (100 +) wedding party and chanced upon GreenAcres just after they were licensed for weddings, what a lucky find!

The woodland setting is utterly stunning with plenty of room for everyone, the tranquil walks are so inviting that at times we had difficulty getting everyone back for the photos.Nothing was rushed or hurried and the whole event went like well oiled clockwork.

We would like to thank Marissa and Tracy especially for their attention to detail and on the day, Craig and the ladies who served the nibbles and drinks.

Every time I visit the Chiltern Burial Park I am blown away. My shoulders relax, I breathe that bit easier and I am taken aback by the beauty of the woodland, the tranquility of the resting places and the care and love that goes into making this park what it is - a haven for the resting soul. Thank you to all involved in making this place what it is :)
