BREAKING NEWS NOMINATIONS FOR 3RD ANNUAL AMPS FILM SOUND AWARDS 2 Jan 2016 - London The nominations for AMPS 3rd annual award for ‘Excellence in Sound for a Feature Film’ have been released. The film nominees are - Bridge of Spies, The Hateful Eight, The Martian, Spectre and Star Wars - The Force Awakens... Five films exhibited in 2015 were selected by an AMPS Awards Committee, from which leading sound crew members (Production Sound, Sound Editing and Re-Recording) were nominated for the award. AMPS has established itself as a respected UK film and television sound organisation with a global membership of over 450 of the most imaginative and highly experienced recording, mixing and sound-editing people in the cinema and television industry. AMPS wish to offer thanks to long-time AMPS Sustaining Member, Dolby Laboratories who is once again sponsoring this prestigious award. Guardians of the Galaxy was one of the films that provoked the idea for the Greensleeve with so many real sets shot against green with intricate foreground details the poles needed to cross.
