excellent food as always. Really enjoyed the chocolate desert too. Such friendly people and really good with our boys too.
Wonderful stay, everything from the room to the restaurant were absolutely perfect, absolutely the best B and B I have stayed at!!
What an absolutely delicious meal we had at lunchtime today, extremely tasty and cooked perfectly with plenty of choice. Very friendly, happy staff. We will recommend you to our friends. Maybe next time we'll try and squeeze a desert in. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
What a terrific find. Lovely pub, very welcoming. Staff very hospitable and friendly. Atmosphere was great and the food great. Will definitely be returning.
We just popped in yesterday lunch time for a quick snack, we were very lucky as we hadn't booked, but luckily they had a cancellation, so we were immediately shown to our table, really lovely atmosphere, all the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was just amazing, Thankyou and we will be back!!
We jumped in the car from Exeter last night to just follow the road and we ending up right here. Hungry and needing a reading drink or two. Got seated by a lovely window on a table for two by the bar and got told we'd have a bit of a wait for food as a they were a little busy. Within 5 mins had drinks and menu in hand. After ordering we expected a long old wait but had super speedy delivery! Everything was superb! I had a home made chicken and mushroom pie. No soggy pastry and so much creamy filling I was in pastry heaven! Hubby had the fish and chips and it was like a whale! Batter was perfectly cooked and not a sign of sogginess to be found anywhere. Tina (and the lovely Joe Brown top) were super friendly and kept my glass topped up often.
Beautiful restaurant with beautiful people and beautiful food. Couldn't have asked for more! Thank you for making a average Saturday night a great night!
Have a great birthday Tina and we shall be back in the future!
Using the Greyhound Country Inn as a base to travel out starwise to a lot of the tourist spots and gardens etc we are so glad that we chose to stay at the recommendation of friends.
As Aussies we are laid back and unstressed but do appreciate great service, fantastic food and lovely, friendly company. All clearly apparent here.
Would stay here again without hesitation.
The couple who run the Inn are pleasant and approachable.
Their food is really nice and fulfilling, at a reasonable cost.
Food menu is good English style food, just what you want.
The Greyhound is wonderful. Staying here for the Burning Barrels in Ottery St Mary was the perfect choice. Friendly staff, lovely food & perfect location to get to Ottery, Honiton & Feniton. Highly recommend.
Stayed here for one night with my husband and 2 dogs, absolutely fabulous staff and service. Great selection of gin, great food and very clean rooms. Will definitely stay again x
Stayed for a few days as a base to also work for two. Great food, lovely staff and room. Can't wait to go back. Rhubarb and raspberry Gin hhhmmmmm.
Food from menu or specials board just as good.
Cat liked us which was nice too. Hoping to see you in July x
My husband and I spent our first night away in years to celebrate our 17th anniversary, the room was really sweet and very clean so ticked my OCD boxes, the food was lovely and staff very friendly. Thank you for a great stay
Lovely thatched property. Rooms lovely and clean and well appointed. Breakfast cooked to order and very tasty. Food in restaurant in evening exceptional. Thoroughly recommend.
Lovely pub & b&b with friendly helpful staff. Gorgeous food with lots of variety. 1st class service all the way.
Lovely family lunch. Excellent food and great service. We will be back
Just got back from staying here for a couple of nights. Accommodation excellent clean and comfortable. A friendly warm atmosphere. Evening menu varied and reasonably priced and delicious. Breakfast to die for. Certainly be using the Greyhound again. Thank you.
I would recommend this pub for a lovely B&B and excellent restaurant. The bedroom we had was a little cosy, but as it dates from something like 1086 it was to be expected. The room was immaculate, to a high standard and had everything we needed for our short stop. We had a very good dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed our meals from the specials options. Top it all off with a very warm welcome.
I don't normally bother leaving reviews, but had such a great time I wanted to say how great it was!
We were looking for a B&B to enjoy Devon, and stumbled across this place. It's simply an excellent pub with good accommodation. The place was spotless, the breakfast was excellent, it's a great proper English pub with lovely beer garden and every single member of the team was amazing.
I can't fault my stay at all. Nothing was too much trouble and I enjoyed every minute there. I'll definitely be back.
Had a 2 course meal here last night, food was perfect and staff were very friendly and professional, will DEfinately eat here again!!!
Great room
Great atmosphere.
Food:
Breaded Mushrooms for starters.
Not some generic tat from a wholesaler. Absolutely lovely.
Main, mixed grill.
Most tender pork medallions, nice sausage, lamb was flavourfull, steak was beautifully cooked, gammon was good, chops were superb...
It beat me.... the end!!
Would recommend to anyone.
First time and won't be the last time, food and service excellent. Apparently previous owners ran the place into the ground. I can assure you the new owners have turned it around. Will definitely be recommending it to friends and family. Can't wait to try Sunday lunch.
Fantastic service and fantastic food!
Fantastic place.... great food..awesome people.. highly recommend for either a stay or just the food
Fantastic office lunch today - thanks Tina, Wayne and the team :)
Fabulous place to stay, lovely friendly staff, yummy food and very clean accommodation. Have been visiting for a few years now, and stayed four times this year alone and have never been disappointed. And dog friendly too! Home from home, looking forward to some repeat visits in 2018.
Excellent pub, restaurant and hotel.
En route from Cornwall back to London,
needed a break & a bite to eat.
Found the Greyhound in Fenny Bridges,
what a gem, would highly recommend to all.
Comfortable rooms, awesome shower, food was beyond good, staff even better. Can't recommend this place enough.
Booked an evening meal and an overnight stay as a surprise for my partner’s Birthday after looking at b&bs online in Honiton.
As soon as we arrived I was delighted in my choice!
The bar/restaurant felt very welcoming and cosy as we walked in and we were greeted by very staff and shown to our room. The room was absolutely beautiful, cosy and immaculately clean with a very comfy bed. The bathroom was very modern, had a very nice powerful shower and finished nicely with lots of cute little toiletries.
We went down for our evening meal and sat by the fire as we requested. I ordered rump steak with Stilton sauce and my partner had a mixed grill. We were absolutely blown away with how amazing our meal was!!! We both agreed one of the best steaks that we had ever had!
Cannot praise you enough - thank you for such a lovely and memorable weekend away Kirsty & Iain x
Best traditional home cooked food in the south west by far....
The steaks are out of this world
Fantastic menu
Amazing friendly staff

We keep coming back and i most definately would recommend 100%
Love it love it love it
As always another fabulous meal and great beer! Managed to nab the table next to the log fire - all very warm and cosy. Thoroughly recommend the Greyhound whether for lighter lunches or sumptuous evening meals. There is always a great standard menu and stunning specials. Fish dishes are particularly excellent. A wonderful British country pub restaurant!
Absolutely spectacular the food was top notch and the service was brilliant as always, always recommend for a treat!
Absolutely fantastic.
Stayed Friday night as stopover on way home from Penzance and I can honestly say that it was an amazing place the food was terrific and the breakfast out of this world the Room had been renovated and was superb.
The staff were friendly and courteous I would HIGHLY recommend The Greyhound Inn and if I am ever down that way would definitely revisit
Well done and thanks for a GREAT stay.
A great meal and amazingly beautiful place
Well recommend it to anyone but book so you get a table. It's that good.
We booked a table for two for 8pm and arrived at 7:45. The food was fantastic, but unfortunately we had to wait nearly an hour from giving our order at 8:10, to the food arriving on the table. The table next to us ordered the same mixed grill, five minutes before we did and thief food arrived in about 25 minutes. This spoilt what should have been a lovely experience and hence only four stars.
Lovely typical pub with real ale, excellent food and helpful staff. Good clean bedrooms. What more does one need?!
The stay over night was noisy was woken up early by a droning sound. Food wasn't the best, the whole package was not worth £80! I wouldn't stay here again.
Absolutely the best pub ever. Totally transformed by Wayne and Tina. Superb food, staff an atmosphere. Can't recommend this place highly enough.
Food not that great to be honest, chips weren’t very hot and not many for the price, onion rings were very pale and didn’t taste like onions. Don’t think I would visit again, and £2 for a Fruit Shoot.........
