If your heading to the park today, please note the below post regarding the Hub Cafe

User

The Hub cafe will be closed on Monday 26th November for staff training day, this will also mean the Tearoom at Hadleigh Farm is also closed on this day. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Santa is looking forward to coming to Hadleigh Park so much that he is going to be visiting on Wednesday 5th December in the afternoon as well as at the weekend! Booking is open now for this additional day!

User

Went to Hadleigh for thier 2 year celebration family day. £10 for 2 wrist bands. All the activities included. We joined in the kayaking, sailing and archery. There was plenty more you could have done. It was an amazing day and very good value for the four of us.

User

We went to the Pirate activity day. Brilliant for all the family. We loved the kayaking and archery, the trail and craft were great fun too. Well organised with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Would def recommend!

User

We have been to the 2 year anniversary free day today! Took two 9 year old boys they both had amazing time kayaking, archery and in the park! We didn't have our bikes but bike tracks looked great too!!

User

We had our 3 young grandchildren (aged 11, 9 and 6 years) with us for a week and spent 2 days at the Park. They had a fantastic time doing kayaking, archery, making kites and of course playing on the equipment available to them. They particularly loved the parkour site.

The staff were polite, helpful, and so obliging.

We will definitely return, with or without the children!

We attended a summer family activity Day on Friday and had a lovely day. We arrived at 10 and booked our time slots, we were first off to archery, after instruction we got 5 arrows each to try and hit the target. I felt it would have been nice to have a second round of five arrows as you had just got the hang of it then it was the end of your go. We had brought the kids bikes with us (children aged 8 10 and 11) so they spent the next hour and half riding the skills course and bmx ramps at the top of the park. We took a picnic lunch and it helped it was a lovely sunny warm day, lots of picnic tables and reasonable priced drinks and ice creams in the hub cafe. After lunch we headed off to do kayaking which everyone really enjoyed, we found the length of time on the water was just about right. After getting changed out of our damp clothes the kids headed back off to do more cycling (they never even went on the main course) and there was other activities such as kite making they could have done ( the kites we saw looked great flying in the air) or various games but our children were happy to cycle. We finally dragged them away at 5.45 after a great day for kids and grown ups. At 2 wristbands for £10 we felt it was good value and would attend again.

User

The trails are really well maintained. Obvious that money is reinvested on site. A great day out with kids. Food in the cafe reasonably priced so refreshing to go somewhere and not be ripped off for cost of food & parking.

User

My friend and I took part in the Open Water beginners course on Weds 7th June. We are aiming to train for our first Triathalon so wanted some gentle coaxing into the open water. The instructor was great, humorous and very patient with us. We learnt a lot about swimming in the right direction, breathing techniques and sighting.

For someone who was nervous and fish, murky water and things touching my feet that I didn't like, I found this session so very helpful. I really enjoyed it and came out of the lake feeling like I'd really overcome my fears and accomplished something. Can't wait to get back in again. Don't delay - give it a try!

User

Lovely day out with my eight year old! Think kids aged around 5 should be supervised by parents on the track in front of cafe as one kid wasn't and was going mad and took two kids out ! Plus should be for the smaller kids and the bigger kids there is plenty to do on the bigger tracks rather then using the smaller tracks! But a great day out !

User

Just great. Shame the council and co charge you for parking. Kind of ruins the day as you have to keep the extra 10 pounds a day parking cost in your mind

User

Had a fun packed day at Hadleigh Park, beautiful spot with amazing views, kids loved the bmx tracks and the Archery will defiantly be back for Kayaking next. Low cost day which are hard to find!!!

User

First time at the park but it won't be our last. I was delighted with Eddie the instructor he was great with the children in the archery group. We will return to try some of the other activities on offer!!

User

Fabulous day at hadleigh park, lots to do.my son and his best friend did the 2 hour kayaking.amazing! Great value for money and they had so much fun.instructor was brilliant and great witht the kids.thanx for a fab day xxx

User

Can't fault it. There really us something for all ages! Went today with my children (age 6 months and 3 years), a friend and her two boys (age 10) and we had trouble getting them away from the equipment (playground in my daughter's case and parkour in my friend's boys'). We then took a walk around the park on their footpath. All very biggy friendly with amazing views across the Thames and of the bike track! Toilets were clean and the staff were friendly. Will be going back to take advantage of the water sports and cycling facilities when the kids are older

User

Came here today with a group from our church. Hadnt realised before we arrived that it was the anniversary weeknd...but had SUCH A GREAT day. The staff were really friendy & helpful too.....the facilities were great & the weather good throughout too.Would really recommend xx

User

Although parking was £4.50 the whole use of the facilities and food in cafe was very nice and reasonably priced sausage role 12" chips and coke and milkshake come upto £5.50 very nice too

User

Parking expensive £1.50 per hour. The lake is great for swimming, fantastic staff, but once you pay £5 for a swim it can get pricey. Perhaps free parking if you have paid for an activity would be more attractive

User

Lovely place to be but you need bins dotted around. Especially around the kids play areas. Unfortunately some people do not pick up their litter. I picked up 6 empty water bottles yesterday that were not mine and put them in the bin. There was even a ironing board near the kids bars area ????

User

A group of us took part in the Easter activity today. We thoroughly enjoyed it as did our children aged 3 and 4. The members of staff were great with the children and really interactive, lunch was good children had a roll, piece of fruit, drink and some crisps. The children enjoyed the craft activity. The only thing I would say was it was quite expensive and they didn't get much for the money. Considering the car park for the duration was also £6, a voucher towards car parking etc or a gift for the children. This was mentioned to the children by one of the members of staff) and when we questioned another member they said there wasn't and the older children received something So we had to then try and calm down 3 toddlers who had tantrums as they wanted the treat they were told about.

User

Such a nice place to take family, have a ride causal or intense. Nice to see some greenery as well! Some of the views are beautiful. It's challenging and ensures you push yourself. Refreshing to see kids out having fun with lots of families.

However, Seeing as it is somewhere that is for fitness as well, it would have been better if the cafe had more healthier options etc add to their menu. Especially now a days, as people are more healthily food conscious.

The bike shop- the man at the front desk was so friendly. Although, the man who fixes the bikes is so rude. He is arrogant, not helpful- in fact talks to you like your an idiot. He was rude to customers and then the member of staff in front of a shop full of customers. I defiantly think, there are ways of talking to people and he speaks to people with no respect! I was very shocked to see this.

The trails are really well maintained. Obvious that money is reinvested on site. A great day out with kids. Food in the cafe reasonably priced so refreshing to go somewhere and not be ripped off for cost of food & parking.
