Half Year Results 2017/18 – Halma has continued to make strong progress, delivering record revenue, profit and dividends for shareholders. Halma also announced today that, on 10 November, we acquired SETCO S.A. We’re pleased to announce two new exciting acquisitions today for our Medical sector.
Halma’s first South American acquisition, Cardios is a Brazil-based designer and manufacturer of ambulatory ECG recorders and ambulatory blood pressure monitors. These devices are used by cardiologists and GPs to diagnose and prevent heart and blood vessel related diseases like hypertension, diabetes, heart attacks, and heart arrhythmias. Complementing our existing healthcare products, Card...ios also extends our reach into the fast-growing medical market in Brazil.
Our Medical sector company SunTech has also boosted its position as the world leader in OEM non-invasive blood pressure monitoring with the purchase of the CASMED NIBP product line from CAS Medical Systems.
