Race Day Todays race is ON for all entries including Novices and Juniors. Conditions are predicted to be breezy. The south westerly win will mean rough conditions before the tide turns but the water should flatten after that.

Really rough conditions in the middle section of the race proved very testing for most crews in the race. Four crews had to be helped as their boats took on water, two as they returned to their clubs after the race. Happy to report all crews are OK.

Conditions for the race on Sunday look fairly good but cold with a moderate NE wind. The tide is very high and as a result the stream should be very fast. Please take extra care of obstructions (and bridges!) and keep tucked well into the bank whilst marshalling.
