What a hidden gem. Popped in today for a little browse and came away with some fabric for a project. A great range of fabrics but so much more. This will definitely be my first stop from now on. Staff friendly and very willing to help. Thank you for the help today.

Visited today and found as usual the family run business very helpful, they solved my sewing problem for me. I wasn't buying fabric today but they carry a good range of a very nice quality and a wide range of haberdashery. Will of course be going back when I've used a bit of my fabric stash.

Visited this afternoon brought several fabrics , good quality and well priced . The guy who served me was great and will be going back again next week . �

Not just a very well stocked stall with good quality fabric and wide range of haberdashery, the staff knowledge is vast. I bought the most perfect fabric on their recommendation for colour and style.

My first visit to this wonderful Aladins cave today, there are so few haberdashery shops today, and such beautiful fabrics too, I was in my element and will be back soon to stock up on some more fabric. Chris was very helpful and generous with his time. Thank you.

Looking forward to a second visit to this family run business. Love the range of fabrics they stock. Ended up buying 5 times what i went there for. Buyer beware..... craft supplies and lovely fabrics will tempt you. Both Chris and Claire were a delight to deal with and i cant wait to show them pics if my makes.

I've been going here for the past 15 years to buy various bits and pieces and went recently and found some lovely Aztec patterned material plus another with a similar weave. I plan to make a couple of bags - when I have the time!

I love this place. Great quality - as good as John Lewis but cheaper. I always get great service and patience - especially when I’m trying to find the ‘right’ red tone or the ‘right’ button to go with my project. If i can’t find what I’m looking for, I always ask - they usually have it. Stock is regularly updated too, keeping up with latest trends. It’s definitely worth popping by, you’ll be surprised.

I have only good words for the family ran Handleys Haberdashery, a beautiful variety of craft bits, nicely displayed, good quality.

Always so helpful with advice in matching items, time for restocking certain things, polite and always smiling.

Handleys are great for the range of goods and excellent pricing. I love going down to their market stall to browse the range or to just get something specific for my sewing project. The staff are always helpful, suggesting alternatives or offering to find what I'm needing for the next time I'm around.

Found this fabric and haberdashery supplier today. What can I say. It's amazing. Couldn't look too long, had the husband with and he gets bored. Lol. Must go back on my own so I can spend hours there. Loved it!

Best selection of sewing supplies I’ve found anywhere! Great prices and helpful service. Particularly like their massive choice of ribbons and buttons! Fabrics very nice too. Located in Chelmsford covered market and well worth a visit.
