I was invited to the relaunch of MEZZA at 381 Sauchiehall Street-the only Lebanese Bistro in Glasgow-after being closed for months due to the great fire that destroyed the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Glasgow School of Art and disrupted residents, businesses and road users. The bistro is proud to serve delicious homemade style Lebanese food, sweets and drinks and are determined to turn things round after the new design of pedestrianisation through large parts of Sauchiehall street. Good luck to them all and their fantastic bistro.

Supporting the Give Me 5 campaign We are calling for an additional £5 per week paid by the Scottish Government to ‘top-up’ child benefit to help support families. Help us fight poverty by topping up child benefit by just £5 a week for every child could lift tens of thousands of children out of real poverty in Scotland
