British adults have ‘extremely poor knowledge’ on the causes and symptoms of oral cancer, a new survey shows.
... The survey, carried out by the Oral Health Foundation, shows 33% of Brits are unaware smoking causes oral cancer. More than half (57%) didn’t realise alcohol can contribute to the disease too. Only 36% of people recognise the early warning signs of oral cancer, the survey shows. Last year more than 8,300 people in the UK were diagnosed with mouth cancer. It’s one of the fastest-growing cancers in the country, with cases jumping by 135% over the last 20 years.

The best dentist i have been to, im extremely nervous and was looked after and calmed so well that today for my follow up appointment was able to go on my own for the first time, thank you Alex and Pauline.......

The best Dentist I have ever had. I was very nervous when going to the dentist (due to previous experiences) and once I moved to Eastbourne I didn't know where to try. I had been recommended to go to The Harbour Orthodontic Centre and they have been fantastic. All the staff are so friendly and Alex is amazing! He did such a fantastic job on the work I needed to have done to my teeth and made me feel at ease from the moment I sat down. So pleased I have found a dentist that I'm really comfortable with and I now don't need to worry when I need anything done. I would highly recommend 5*

Simply the best dental surgery I have ever been too. I would recommend going here if you are nervous of going to the dentist, Alex and his team explain everything and do their utmost to put you at ease. After years of bad dentistry I came across this practice and was put totally at ease. I no longer fear going to the dentist, thank you.
