Good to see some bouts at the Haringey Box Cup on finals day this afternoon.
It’s not that you don’t get politics and bad decisions in the amateurs but the fights themselves are so much more honest than what I’ve grown accustomed to in the pro game, week in week out.
Both boxers trying their best to win and invariably well matched with little more than a cross or a hook between them.
... Money changes everything, I guess....
