We have just left harrogate hospital after an emergency visit with my little boy and I have to say they were amazing from start to finish, they really looked after him and give him the best care possible, thank you to everyone who looked after him xx

User

The quality of the care has been outstanding. Very caring, patient , understanding and extremely helpful staff. The food is cooked on premises and is hot and tasty! Best of NHS care!

My thanks!

I recently had a procedure at the hospital and found ALL staff to be considerate and helpful. Theatre staff (nurses and consultant) were reassuring and made me feel relaxed. For me, I have nothing negative to say in terms of my personal experience.

I would just like to mention (from observation) that our NHS staff (admin to registrars) are rushed off their feet and work so hard in order for all patients to have a positive experience in hospital .... fantastic individuals!

I live in leybur n in the dales because the staff in harrogate are always good it is worth getting up early to see whoever my mum was in almost 6 months and she died but she was well looked after better than some hospitals one night when mum was in the electric went out so instead of getting into a panic the staff and visitors made a human chain it was good but it ment sandwiches all rouns we also had a good time doing it

Have needed care at Harrogate Hospital on more than one occasion over the past 5 years. Care and attention has been the best from all the staff. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful service.

User

Have had 2 operations within the day surgery unit in the last 8 weeks.. Both times the nursing & theatre staff have been fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. Made sure I was comfortable and pain free ( which I wasn't to start with) in and out in 5 hours. Everything explained brilliantly!

Amazing service today in ED. My daughter sustained a head injury at school and we were in and out of the Emergency Department in less than an hour!!! Now that's what I call a result

After a visit to the OOH Doctor, I was admitted to Littondale for observations and a CAT scan.

All the staff were kind, friendly and professional, and made me feel at ease, and i was kept up to speed on what was going to happen, and informed of results of tests as soon as they were available.

Cleanliness was very good, as was the food.

The only downside was lack of wifi for patients which nearly drove me bonkers, as phone signal is poor indoors.

The discharge procedure was very thorough, and informative.

No doubt, i will be back🤒

A massive thank you to the dedicated staff who took such great care of Audrey Kirk yesterday. It reminds you of how lucky we are in the UK to have the NHS.

A message to Teresa May - LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!

I went in yesterday for a minor knee operation, I have to say I was very impressed with the staff,I was a bit nervous and they were all very understanding, made me feel at ease, I couldn't rate it a five because I don't think I'll ever love hospitals but it wasn't a bad experience at all and that was because of the brilliant staff, thanks to them all

Easily accessible. Arrived at A&E 9am on a Friday morning. Assessed within 10 minutes. Xrayed, seen by doctor and discharged in an hour and a half. Efficient, polite and speedy service. Having a choice of here and Leeds hospitals, I would chose Harrogate every time.

User

The A & E staff, especially Florence and the attending Doctor whose name we don't know, were lovely. But having to wait to be seen for 3 hours when there was only one other person in front of us was terrible, especially with a head injury.

User

If I am honest the clinical care was excellent but the patient experience was a bit naff

Had to repeat my details in 3 different places

No recognition that I'd even arrived when finally in waiting room

Waited politely and quietly until 20 minutes past my appointment time

Politely asked if I was in someone's list. They didn't know. They went off to find out

5 minutes later senior nurse walks into waiting area and in very loud voice says "The clinic is running 20 minutes behind"

5 minutes later I am called in

Doctor and nurse fabulous

Everything on paper. No IT used in the entire visit

I was given piece of paper to take to GP

Great clinical care, improvements needed around patient experience....

You need managing by real people, I would say 60% of people who get paid by ‘our money’ in theory don’t deserve a job in this industry! Mainly because the sad society some people think we have to put up with or abide by ... shame on the people who say they run our hospitals or so called NHS !

Fukkwitts doesn’t do justice !!! Grrrr

User

Wensleydale Ward - communication absolutely appalling..!! Tried for over one hour to contact ward and no reply. Appreciate they are busy/short staff etc etc however, a member of staff from another ward had to go to Wensleydale to give them a message!!! Pray that your relatives don't end up on that ward - you'll never be able to find out how they are!!!!

User

Thank you so much for not sending me an appointment letter and then writing to my GP trying to make me feel foolish by telling them I failed to turn up.Well that would happen wouldn't it !. Harrogate hospital has a propensity for doing this apparently and also making me have to be re-referred.

If you had done the procedure properly in the first place I wouldn't be wanting to be seen again. You absolute %$£^&*

User

Been sat in a and e for 3 hours and a staff nurse comes into the waiting room an hour after 3 more people came in and has just been called into treatment..... privileges or what ....
