Harrogate High School supports the 'Red Box Project' and period poverty. The Red Box Project quietly ensures that no young person misses school because they have their period. The project provides menstrual products for the young people in local schools.
We are lucky to have the support of Jay Kelly and her daughter Thea Kelly who make regular trips to Harrogate High School to ensure we are well stocked with menstrual products, underwear and educational information around pe...riods and the risks associated with some products.
Our red boxes are located in Reception and the Health Support Office and accessible to all with no restrictions.
Further information on the Red Box Project, please see their website: http://redboxproject.org/
