What a fool am I, having a restaurant two streets away from where I live and I've never popped in to try their food. So glad it was cold yesterday and I decided to go for a meal with a friend that was nearby. Fabulous food, lovely staff and a great ambience. DEFINITELY will be returning and half the price of the restaurants I've frequented in the past and authentic, tasty food.

Thought the food and service was excellent

And very well presented.

User

The latkes and the salt beef were delicious. ...can't wait to visit again

The best Reuben in London. Their pastrami is the absolute business and the cheesecake? Omilord.

Superb food ..great service - we had the burger and chips -top draw and a really enjoyable Sunday lunch

The resturant was full and we sat on one of the pavement tables and watched the world go by

Most enjoyable lunch and good value for money

Possibly my favourite Café. Unfortunately last time I was there my companion, whilst trying to demonstrate how General J Stonewall Jackson in the American Civil War (who`s blood circulation was poor) used to counterbalance himself on his horse, unwittingly mimicked a Nazi salute (he had no idea). I died on the spot.

I haven't been for several years mostly because it deteriorated quite dramatically. I'm pleased to say it has improved greatly, the staff were wonderful, the new decor has brightened the whole place up and I will most definitely be returning, even if it's just to pick up some more chopped liver

Had an amazing brunch! Lovely place, very varied menu and great staff!

User

Great service, good food. If you like a deli, NY style, this will do

User

Great place with lovely food and great for people watching - banofee pie is super!

User

First impression when you come is that it's a really clean restaurant. Staff are helpful . I had salted beef which was delicious and my husband had goulash, which was delicious too. They have a nice kids menu. The only downside for us is that they don't have many great vegan dishes for my older son.

User

Amazing. Fantastic service. The salt beef, pastrami and ox tongue were all amazing. Highly recommend.

User

A warm welcome with a great Deli menu in the heart of St John's Wood.

User

Matzo ball soup was good. Salt beef was tasty and tender, but a little dry. The latkes were superb. The new green cucumbers were excellent and put up a fight which I like - new green cucumber addicts will know what I mean.

User

Beauitiful chicken (fresh) soup with matza meal and carrots followed by beauitiful salt beef sandwiches

User

You need to be lucky with the salt beef some times it's soft and other times we have to send it back but the soups are good

User

Salt beef is not as good as it used to be we travelled from Essex several times and was disappointed

User

Waiting staff think they are doing you a favour by serving you , vastly overrated and over priced !!!!!! Not a place to go back to !!!!!!!!

Have eaten here since I was a kid . Lunch and dinner no complaints , the salt beef is probably the second best in London . Rubens being no 1 . However the quality of breakfast seems to be diminishing . God forbid one should order eggs . Every kind of egg is made in too much oil and over cooked . Despite expressly explaining to the waiters , the eggs tend to be over cooked at HM, I still received scrambled eggs in the form of rubber . Over oiled . Jus couldn't eat them . The salmon wasn't too good either . Had to return them, eggs were inedible . The waiter was brilliant he absolutely , understood the issue. However the new eggs were too oily and over cooked . Have decided not to ever return for breakfast .
