Most of the time the facilities are fine. I enjoy using both the gym and the pool, but there are sometimes people who show a lack of respect for the " free for all" swimming 3pm sessions eg unruly youths jumping in, whilst people are trying to complete lengths, more to the point, obstructing serious swimmers. This is quite dangerous, and the life guards didn't seem that interested when the issue was raised. I do hope the problem can be rectified the next time I use the pool.

I went for circuits and Zumba last Sunday. The circuits was terrible and I kept telling myself just hang in there you came to exercise. The lady was just standing there giving instructions and I struggled to stay interested. Despite this I stayed on for Zumba session as I had planned. It was great and am glad I stayed. The lady was enthusiastic and this transferred to the group as well.

I do like coming to Hartham Gym but I'm finding certain members of rather up themselves or not really the nicest flowers in garden as I try to nice but sometimes they look give me funny looks when they replie to my goodbyes or hello's.

A couple of excellent instructors and staff members and a few who just can't be bothered to emerge from behind the desk. Children and even adults regularly misuse equipment in a way that cause them injury, but nobody ever sees it in their remit to wander over and ask if they need any help. Could be so much better with a change of attitude.

Pool is often very grubby. It's just been renovated and the bottom is covered in silt again. No excuse.

I wish that staff on site could check the air con in the dance studio is turned off at the end of each day. Every Sunday morning the 9.00am Pump Class is met by a wall of heat due to the air con being left on HEAT mode from the day before! What is the energy bill like there? Also, it's time the step equipment is condemned/replaced as more often than not the step bases fall off due to being broken when lifted from the stacked pile. Come on Hartham Leisure!

I had a very disappointing visit to the swimming pool yesterday. My grandchildren are on half term holidays this week and are spending the week with me. Local children had their half term last week so the pool is once again operating a term time timetable. After checking the timetable we set off for a morning swim only to be told on arrival that the timetable had changed but had not been updated on the website so we were too late for a swim. We were told we could return at three pm for an hours swim which was called swim for all, therefore I expected it to be child friendly. I knew the inflatables would not be available but expected to enjoy it none the less. I paid for the children's swim but as I am a member did not have to pay for myself. We changed and went through for our swim only to find the shallow end of the pool was closed and the training pool unavailable. Adults were lane swimming. My grandchildren are not strong swimmers, the younger one is only four years old and the shallowest water available was at least five feet. I could barely put a toe on the bottom myself. I asked if it would be possible to borrow some floats to help us but was told 'no, they are for lessons only". As I didn't want to disappoint the children we went into the water and enjoyed ourselves the best we could under the circumstances. I struggled to keep both children safe. No one was using the shallow end of the pool. It was just closed, ridiculous!!!! At no time before we got changed and into the pool area were we told the shallow end of the pool would not be available. The session was called swim for all. Surely that includes children. I fail to understand why we could not have used the shallow end of the pool which was empty the entire time we were there.

User

Disappointed they no longer do spinning classes. Limited classes and not great opening hours for the gym

User

went today 28th august at 12pm with my son (8yrs old). we both left after 20mins as eyes stinging, after 5 mins of getting changed my eyes were agony and could not see as watering constantly. My son was in tears as hurt so much. went to sainsbury to get eye wash which started to help. returned to center and said there must be an issue, reception said they would get duty manager but returned without him saying everything fine. I have occasionally had eyes stinging after swimming but never like this and my son swims all the time and never had issue so obviously something wrong. Will never use this pool again due to this issue and the fact duty manager could not even be bothered to come to reception - disgraceful

Just joined to improve my non existent fitness, induction was lazy- slightly arrogant.... I plan to go crack on....and go. Changing rooms are nice and the showers powerful which is great! Haven't tried any classes but might do!

Disappointed they no longer do spinning classes. Limited classes and not great opening hours for the gym

went today 28th august at 12pm with my son (8yrs old). we both left after 20mins as eyes stinging, after 5 mins of getting changed my eyes were agony and could not see as watering constantly.
