Was there yesterday with my family- food was good, service great, staff friendly & helpful - been there a few times, can’t fault it

User

Last minute Friday night meal out with family. Was served by Caroline whom was brilliant from start to finish especially with my daughter ... who loves the salad bar. Spoilt for choice Caroline was great in explaining new menu and all our chosen meals were lovely. We will be returning .

User

Enjoyed a gorgeous meal here with my daughter. Lovely food and excellent service from our waiter Stephen, a very friendly and efficient man. Great to see a dairy free (also vegan) dessert on the menu.

User

Absolute great food, always popping in to harvester in gravesend. Our waitress Sheri was fantastic today really polite and helpful and actually made an effort to keep checking if everything was alright with our food. The restaurant was clean as always and salad bar was topped up nicely everytime we went up. Many thanks for a great service today oncr again !!!!!!!!!

It's great that they have more vegetarian and vegan options. I tried the hipster breakfast although I don't like the name. People who are vegan do it for ethical, environmental and health reasons not to be hip or cool! Thought it was nice. The only thing I have an issue with is that they don't do soya milk for tea and coffee when most places I visit now do. Great that they are trying to cater for us but need to get some plant based milk in. Great otherwise.

User

I have to say, i have been 4 times recently, The staff where very good & friendly. The Food was very nice, the breakfast is particularly awesome.

User

Good food, reasonably priced with friendly staff. Freya was very helpful handling our table for 6 people and ensuring we had everything we needed. Very good for stopping off somewhere quickly and enjoying a bite to eat. I like the fact you are able to go up for unlimited salad.

User

Waitress was miserable but then she always is. Came out with hot food on hot plates gave them to people & never even said nearly burning there hands!! Ask for beans got peas but didn’t dare say anything in case she attacked 🤣🤣 certainly in the wrong job for customer service she really is! 🤔🤔

User

Sorry to say scampi was over cooked I had three small pieces of cake and all were very hard didn't think food was worth the money

It has been quite a while since we last went but our last experience was great, not today though.

A message on the front door stated that the heating wasn’t working properly(snow outside and windy day at -1) so our coats stayed on for the duration.

We were seated and asked if we wanted drinks,I asked where the drinks menu was and was told that the menu had been changed but they didn’t have a menu! So I went without a drink as I couldn’t think what to have.

The bench we sat on was virtually split and was very rough, the table hadn’t been cleaned properly and had bacon bits from the salad area all around the table sauces and one of the menus had food stuck to it which had to be scraped off! Perhaps we should have left then?! This restaurant is dark and depressing inside and desperately needs to be updated.

When the starters arrived my tapas style prawn starters were swimming in oil and the salad was wilted and old looking, the lemon that came with the prawn was badly dried out and looked like it had been cut the day before and did not look fresh at all.

My main piece of steak was cooked perfectly but the steak knives that are used to cut the steak are total rubbish and I landed up sawing my steak rather than cutting it, took a lot of effort to cut up a perfect sirloin steak! Again the rocket and lambs leaf were wilted and very sorry looking.

Dessert consisted of lemon meringue which I love but the meringue was pretty nasty tasting and the lemon didn’t have a good lemon taste, without a doubt a mass produced product and doesn’t represent a good meringue.

An Irish coffee to finish, this was perfect but I was given an ordinary teaspoon so once I added my sugar and attempted to stir my coffee the spoon disappeared totally as it was in a latte glass!

Has put me off going there again.

Had my first Christmas meal of the year. Starter was ok. But not so impressed with main or dessert. Traditional Turkey roast with frozen veg and roast potatoes which tasted like powder. Dessert was just as disappointing couple of scoops of ice cream with 3 munchies and a bit of squirty cream and gave it a fancy name. A bit more imagination wouldn't go amiss. Saving grace was our waiter who was funny and helpful.

User

Freezing cold in there need to check heating. My wife had the salmon which was dry and the veg was overcooked not worth£12 ,sauce was lukewarm just like the coffees, mushy peas were not good wouldn't use again.

User

Food was really nice, not going to fault it but the waitress was rude and basically none existent to when dealing with our table good experience but could have been made better

Took my husband, dad and kids for father's day!

Pre booked table and told staff I would be bringing 2 disabled people!

Was shocked on arrival that our table was right at the back of restaurant which was a struggle with one if our party having bad mobility!

When ordering drinks we was told almost every drink we ordered was out of stock! This was 12 30am lunchtime on fathers day!

Then the soft drink machine didn't appear to work very well and ice out of stock!

The salad on the cart looked like it should of been thrown away as lettuce was going brown!

No sooner sat down with bowls of salad when meals arrived!

Must say the steaks was very nice but the kids meals was awful chicken under cooked beans all mushy!

Our server was rushed off his feet so getting his attention was awful especially when kids had waited 25 minutes for blackcurrant drink!

People kept bumping into our chairs walking past our table which was causing stress to our autistic child!

The tables directly outside the door was piled high with ciggerettes butts seems nobody wanted to clean up the mess!

Expected a lot more for £80

This Harvester has really gone down hill.. Went there on Sunday 6/5/18 with my partner. When we got there we decided to order a drink from the bar whilst our table was being prepared. Girl behind bar looked totally uninterested when I ordered the drinks, my drink was a cider which came in a can.. bar girl gave me can (unopened) and warm glass (no ice offered) other drink was bottle of Ale (no glass offered) when we sat down to eat we ordered potato skins for starters which when they arrived looked and tasted like they had been in a deep fat frier for ages, plus no dip ??

Salad bar looked like it had not been refilled since lunchtime (this was 9.15pm) the rest of the food was nice.. ordered 2 gin and tonics from the bar after our dinner, again miserable member of staff behind bar didn’t seem interested, didn’t offer me any of the range of gins available just picked one herself stuck it in a glass (no ice and no garnish) and gave me a bottle of tonic.. worst experience ordering a drink.. basic effort from the staff member and zero customer service.. presentation of drink just awful..

Sat down yesterday at 2pm for a family meal with relatives from Ireland in the Dartford bridge harvester. We sat in the round booth to the left of the main entrance by the kitchen and salad bar. Well what can i say an absolutely awful experience from start to finish. To begin with every single knife and fork on the table was filthy which when we asked the waitress for new ones she dumped them in the middle of the table. Her attitude was disgusting. Not once did she introduce herself or check on us throughout the meal. She didn't even tell us to use the salad bar which we eventually just helped ourselves. When the starters came out one was wrong as we ordered garlic mushrooms - not what we got. Then the main meal. Well my son's steak was 50% grizzle which I wouldn't even give to my dog. When we asked our waitress she offered to get us a new one however said it would take 10 minutes we declined as every one had already started eating and we were on a time limit. We were then offered a complementary dessert however he doesn't eat them so we asked for the meal to be taken off the meal which she declined as he had eaten the other half which would Barely satisfy a child!!!!! The manager of the day i believe to be called Wes although he never actually disclosed his name then came over and was to begin with fairly polite and explained as he had eaten the rest of the meal he wouldn't refund it. We then compromised and asked for half of the price to be refunded however he again refused and eventually walked off. He then sent our bill to us even though we didn't even ask for it and some of the table wanted a dessert. We then sent it back when the waitress said "my manager told me to give it to you." We ordered desserts from another waitress who was extremely pleasant and cheery. However, one dessert came out with ice cream instead of whipped cream. We sent it back and it then came back with single cream. Third time lucky and the whipped cream finally came out and the manager wes must have overheard to which he rudely and sarcastically expressed "What is wrong now madam?" Well, I was speechless. We explained and asked for who we contact for complaining. He refused to give any details. We had to ask around to find out the head managers name to which Wes said she was on holiday. A new manager then came on shift who was very polite and understanding. Simply fantastic at his job. He said he would talk to wes and the main manager. He kindly took off 2 desserts which would balance the cost of the awful steak. We then asked for my discount as I work for ember inns as a waitress myself. I was shocked at the service throughout the meal. The waitress and manager especially. Who made us feel like a nusaunce and that we were in the wrong!!!! We will never be back and I will be contacting head office. Attached is a photo of the grizzle off the steak.

Avoid this place at all costs soggy burger buns(freezer-burnt),raw sausages served to my daughter with no gravy which I thought it was coffee and I asked for gravy and in a rude way the waitress said (do you want it then) it comes with the meal so yes 20 minutes for a grass you fill yourself rude waitress (gorgia) and then spoke to the so called manager (schoolboy with the beard in a suit)and he wasn’t professional in any way at all as he got high rated in defending the useless staff and was not interested in any way about addressing the problems in hand this has ruined our family day out we don’t get to go out as a family enough and this place ruined that I will never use this place again

Most horrendous harvester I’ve ever visited staff are so rude, to be muttered at by Wendy an whole hour and a half of miserableness. To be told everyone has got the grumps today. Everything was to much effort for her from the offset. Would really like to hear from a representative from harvester! As the branch manager could only say “sorry about that” !
