Harvester

Went for lunch yesterday with a friend at the Ashford Harvester. Thought the decor was lovely and the waitress was very pleasant. However I was disappointed with the salad bar (which I usually really enjoy) The lettace in both containers was brown and limp, there was no cucumber and not even an empty container for any. Is cucumber no longer available? The only bit of potato salad that was there was the bit that had stuck to the serving spoon! I did ask for fresh lettace and some was brought out. My main was roulade, jacket potato, butternut squash and broccoli. The roulade was very tasty, the broccoli however was hard and stringy (I think it was fried) I did enjoy best part of it though. Pudding was nice, Lemon meringue, raspberries and ice cream. Shame about the salad bar. On the whole, I did enjoy the meal and I would go back again.

Very busy as fathers day so the wait was a long one.. nice but no parking so had to pay £2 parking. Toilets where too far upstairs and found the stairs sticky and the toilets dirty.. was a busy day but otherwise nice food.. only one choice of beer carlsberg so was a bit disappointed that hubby did not have a choice on his special day.. I had to take him to the local pub in the evening for 2 pints of Guinness.. he was well please..😊

No one there to seat us or couple in front for a few minutes which was a tad disappointing. Salad fine starters good prices a little high main course arrived and despite three visits from 2 people to our table (one as daughter's dinner didn't have the veggie sticks as an accomplement) they failed to take a pile of starter dishes away. Gravy was cold but quickly changed once I could get someone's attention. That took a while which was reallly annoying maybe someone could've checked everything ok? But it seemed understaffed to me. I know it was a Wednesday night 8pm but still. Meals ok deserts good. 3-3.5 stars from me tonight...

Menu has changed for the worse. Found out yesterday when there that all staff had been working since 7am, it was now gone 2pm, without a break and someone had spilt a saucepan full of oil on the kitchen floor which delayed people getting their food. Not good at all

Waited ages to be seated despite empty tables and waiting staff seeing us waiting. Waited ages for a high chair while the waiter cleared another table asked for highchair again, he said he would just go and get it and then sat another Family at a table. Went to find a highchair for myself to be told by very rude male waiting staff..."i'm just getting it". Waited ages to order drinks and food. Salad bar was ok. Asked for no butter and got butter on chicken...?? Staff seem to lack any motivation or happiness, but with only 2 waiting staff for the whole resturant, why would the be happy and motivated.

Very good first impression...seated promptly and drinks order taken immediately.Almost 45 mins wait for our meals to be served....beetroot and halloumi burgers which were almost inedible and totally overcooked...Ordered further drinks and after waiting several minutes,asked again and apparently they had forgotten about us! Ordered dessert and after asking twice if they had forgotten us yet again,we asked the manager to find out where our desserts were.We then requested the bill and after yet another long wait,asked again...Can't fault the friendliness of the staff but on a not overly busy time,we were very unhappy with the poor service.Such a shame as we were very much looking forward to our meal and the experience was far from what we expected..Think we'll stick to our usual Harvester in Worcester Park from now on

Service was great, food was poor. Waited ages for our main meal, didn't order starters. I had the chorizo chicken stack. Rice was dry and chewy, chicken was barely warm. My 2 year old had the sausage and mash - the sausage was dried up and overcooked, mash was awful...greyish colour like a dry paste � baked beans were obviously reheated. My husband had the mixed grill and the steak was mostly gristle/fat, black pudding was like rubber & the chips were all stale. It was a horrible meal, we won't be back again. This Harvester has really gone downhill, food was always lovely and freshly cooked but not anymore. The only saving grace is your serving staff who are always accommodating and polite.

My daughter and 3 friends went service was so poor even the chefs had to do waitering when they finally got meals chips cold , meal was well that was something else when asked could they order deserts after waiting 45 min they were told yes and still had to wait , .



Come on Harvester you can do better than this with all the other places to eat in staines competition is tough but believe me you will not be first choice for many people

Worst experience at Staines branch ever! Waited nearly an hour for our food, then it came out stone cold. The beans the children had were congealed and clearly been out a while. They took the children’s meals away and bought ‘new’ ones out (or just blasted them in a microwave, I couldn’t tell). My chicken stack was tepid, A’s was my husband’s order. Did complain to deputy manager. No apology but received 20% off our bill (was still £45 for the 6 of us).....



Then the stomach cramps kicked in that evening and the 3 of us who ate meat haven’t felt particularly well.

Went for breakfast, rude staff, not enough choice, no pancakes.

Waitress was lovely and was only a trainee but really nice , it wasn’t busy at all in there so was hoping for a quick bite to eat then go but no , got our drinks more or less immediately good start but that’s all that was good , ordered out melas they took about 30-40 Min to come so wasn’t great , the chips were cold (yum ) so was left ordered deserts took 30 mins to come wasn’t what was stated on the menu !!! Chocolate brownie was suppose to be hot but no I appreciate it had ice cream on the top but you would expect it to be slightly warm !! NO colder than the ice cream !! Spoke to the manager who was ok at start gave us 20% off bill but then we had another discount of 20% that one of my friend had got as she works in Staines and always has got it called him over again and said no we do not except it !! She was like well you did last week he was not budging do then he became very arrogant and told us ok I’ll just take one meal and one desert off which would be less than 20% ok , so harvester in Staines you can go and stick it I will not be coming back such a shame as the waitress was really nice and comeing from a customer service management job you want those kind of people working for you my advice to the Spanish girl that served us is “ you can do better “

Very disappointed. The waitress was lovely however served my son a milkshake that was out of date by over 2 weeks!!!! And the food was tasteless. When we complained the manager agreed to pay for our meal which was nice however that doesn't really make up for serving a child a out of date milk drink. Really not on! Hopefully the drinks have all been removed now...

The food here was awful. dont know where they got the chef but if this is the best he/she can do with very basic food then maybe a new career should be considered. I had the mixed grill, which shouldnt have been difficult but it looked and tasted like it had been cooked two days before. The steak was well done when i asked for medium rare, the black pudding looked like a button on a vagrants coat and would be ideal for knocking nails in. Grilled tomato had shrunk to the size of half a grape and the chicken was as dry as Ghandis flip flop. Perhaps it was an off day but i will not be returning to find out.

Just had an early lunch here and appalled at the service, took ages to get seated, once we were taken to a table the manager/supervisor threw one of the chairs aside to make space for a baby chair which also took ages to come. It took another age to be served, had to go and find a waitress twice to take the order. When getting a salad (next to the kitchen) a clearly audible argument was taking place in the kitchen in clear view and upsetting to customers. The food was cold when it arrived and was below the quality I have experienced in other harvesters. A final note that the only toilet paper in the men’s was lying on the toilet floor with none in the dispensers. All in all an incredibly disappointing experience and not what is expected of the good quality, reasonably priced food provided by other harvester branches.

I was so shocked and upset today, Christina Elizabeth Jane Beckley and Matty Iain Bond was telling me that on Wednesday 14 feb 2018 at 4pm, they went into The Harvester Staines for their Valentine meal and the man that worked there called Matty a FUCKING IDIOT!!!!!!!! I asked why and Matty informed me it was because he asked him if the Valentine special was available, with which the man replied look on the website and check the terms and conditions you fucking idiot! Matty was so upset he left, but because he had planned to take Christina to the Harvester when he had calmed down he went back and had the early bird meal! This lovely sweet kind couple, clearly have special needs and should never be treated so badly by a low life. This man needs to be sacked, retraining is to good for him! how can someone be so rude! #undatables #Harvester This man is english,well built, with brown hair and older than the others working in there. This man needs to say sorry to this couple in person and I will be happy to educate him on how to treat people with special needs. You as a company need to make up to this couple as well.

Have been a customer for a few years and yesterday got the worst service ever. Arrived with my sister, and we had 3 small children with us (under 5s). As they dont eat any main properly, we requested two evening menus (£11.49) and two refill drinks (£2,70). The kids would eat from our main. I served salad from the buffet as it was unlimited with the two mains and gave some to my kids. To my surprise, when I requested the bill, I had been charged for two salads. When I asked why, I was told that buffet is free when a main is requested. I asked well, If I am paying a main, can I have 2 or 3 bowls of salad for myself. They said yes, so I couldt understand why I was being charged. Ended up paying, but wont be returning ever again and definitely not recommending them to parents with small children. That was very low.
