An owl that went awol in the Hastings and Rother area at the end of last year has been rehomed thanks to the efforts of police and animal welfare workers to ensure it came to no harm.

Fund-raising by the independent Pett Level inshore rescue boat, based between Hastings and Rye and crewed and operated by volunteers, recently attracted a donation from Sussex Police . socsi.in/Wc3hq

We're appealing for witnesses after a report of a robbery in Hastings.
At around 10pm on Sunday, the victim was walking along Pelham Place when two males on bikes approached her and took her bag by force.

Two ewes were badly injured when a dog attacked sheep at Fairlight, near Hastings, last month. We're hoping someone may have information about the attack and we are reminding dog owners of their responsibilities when walking in the countryside.
