Went to see Cilla & The Sounds of the 60s last night -thoroughly enjoyed the show. It was lovely to see people up and dancing -just spoilt by a few minority who moaned that people were in the way.

User

I went to watch Cilla and the shades of the 60s on Wednesday 22 March 2017 with my mother. She has mobility issues and we needed to use the disabled access. I cannot fault the staff who gave us directions, walked us through the theatre to and from the lift, returned the pushalong mobility aid after the show. A throughly fantastic service, thank you.

User

I came to see Cinderella on the 26th December with my Daughter,Mum & Mother in Law.

We absolutely loved the panto & laughed the whole way through.

Best panto I have seen in years.

The cast were all amazing & it made it real & showed that they really enjoyed what they were doing when the script changed or they had to improvise & couldn’t help laughing.

Well done the Hazlitt

We will be returning next year!

User

Had a great time watching cinderella tonight with my children they loved it like always the cast did an amazing job especially Matthew Pennington true dedication carrying on after dislocating his knee for the rest of the show still giving it 100% love having going to hazlitt theater for panto our christmas tradition xxxxx

User

Cats performed by STS , great show , great costumes , great night , a rather drunk lady in front of me was dealt with very quickly by the theatre staff .

User

A nice little theatre and reasonably comfortable. Shame about the people who abuse the policy of No mobile phones. Just ignorant people keeping the usher running from one side to the other . Could do with more ushers.

User

We went to see The Wizard of Oz last night and it was great fun, adults and children we laughing. Would definitely recommend this small theatre for a great night out. The only down side is the floor isn’t tiered so little ones may have trouble seeing if there are adults sitting in front

User

We went to see Russel Kane, the show was everything we hoped it would be! We were in fits of laughter. Seats were comfortable and the view from the balcony was perfect - but the theatre really needs to update its air con system, the current one is dated and struggled against the amount of people in the auditorium.

User

Saw The Real thing last night they were excellent. Just felt there should of been security presence by the stage. Ladies queuing outside of the Men's toilets which did not look good if Men done that outside of the Ladies there would be up roar.

Wish the bar was opened slightly earlier .

We need more decent bands like this and well known comedians, keep it up.

User

Saw Ave Q which was brilliant however it was so hot and stuffy it ruined it. Please spend out on aircon and I'm sure more people will attend. I felt on the point of passing out at one point and loads of people were complaining about the heat. Ridiculous in this day and age.

User

Far too hot, even with the fan blowing hot air around! I was counting down for the interval to go outside for fresh air. However, I am so happy that the Hazlitt continues to host Valley Park productions.

User

We saw sweeney Todd, which was amazing, by valley park school. The production couldn't have been any better. BUT the theatre was so hot! Please install AC. It would make the whole experience so much more comfortable.

User

The Elvis Years show was brilliant. I hope he gets booked again next year. Rather annoying that people were videoing on their phones when it is not allowed. Early on in the show people were spoken to by staff for taking photographs but by the middle of the second half when I could easily see at least four videos being recorded (one of which was on a tablet/iPad!) there were no staff in evidence. Surely the rules need enforcing throughout the show, not just at the beginning. Apart from that annoyance it is a great local venue.

User

Saw Avenue Q which was brilliant, however, the theatre was so hot. Far too hot to be enjoyable or for you to cool down.

Also, the microphones kept dropping out during the performance, which, if I wasn't in the 3rd row, I don't think I would have heard what the cast were saying.

User

ELO experience, what a fantastic show!

A shame the theatre was so dam hot! Needs some a/c in there.

5 stars for the show only 3 for the theatre and that's mainly because the staff are nice!

User

Came to support my son and friends in Valley Park School's Sweeny Todd yesterday- the show was great! Very professional for a school show.

Unfortunately, the heat in there was unbarabe and I became unwell due to the heat. Everyone was fanning themselves and dabbing their sweat! The heat aggravated my lung condition and I started coughing and my breathing was comfortable. This shouldn't be happening. The theatre really does needs to sort out some sort of air conditioning/ ventilation

User

Saw The Elvis Years last night. The show was excellent, but the Hazlitt is in serious need of refurbishment. The air conditioning is non existent and the toilet facilities are shabby and inadequate. Maidstone needs a new theatre! It's the county town for goodness sake!!!

User

i love the Hazlitt usually and always enjoy the shows.Last nights conditions were appalling-the show was amazing but we were all dripping-no air con and i felt for the cast.I don't know how we managed to sit through the show-whats going on -why can this even happen?

User

Went to see the Vera Lynn show and it was about 3000 degrees in there no air con. Had to leave half way through as some people I was with vomited due to the heat. Lost about £100 on tickets
