I'm back to cartridge paper which is nice and smooth for this painting technique that's a bit like colouring with a colour pencil.

This is my second attempt at painting this flower today! I can't seem to get the colours right. I'm going to have one more go tomorrow before it wilts. Helen X

It's officially Autumn! 🍁This is my favourite Autumn inspired flower arrangement so far 🌸

Here is a time lapse painting of the second floral in this composition. I'm painting one at a time to show the progress of this piece and to make sure the videos are all under a minute! I'm using radient inks so I'm storing the artwork carefully between shoots because the colours fade very quickly in direct sunlight. Once the composition is finished I'll scan it in immediately to capture the true colour and make my design from the digital copy

Aren't these the most gorgeous hollyhocks? At least I think they're hollyhocks! I want some of these for my garden.

Spring /Summer has finally arrived! The sun's shining and I'm happy to be out without a coat at last.
