Here are some photos from our Summer Concert that took place last Saturday. It was a wonderful event and for once even the weather was good almost too good. We want to thank everyone who attended and helped raise £622.84 in donations.

We are hosting our Annual Summer Memorial Concert. We have the Essex Police Brass Band playing. There will be also be selling refreshments and cakes and we have invited a local florist to attend. We would like to remind you that if you are planning on attending that you will need to bring your own seating and perhaps a picnic as this is an informal event. It is also a fund raising event in support of the local Hospice's and other charities in the local community. The weather is looking lovely and we hope you can all attend.

Unfortunately we have been unable to open the gates today due to the heavy snow. Please accept our apologies.

The band are in full flow. The weather is being kind and the cakes are going quick.

Job opportunities have arisen for two Funeral Operatives at our Chelmsford branch. Although based at Chelmsford, you will also be required to travel to other branches and must hold a full UK driving licence.
No experience is necessary as full training will be provided. This role would suit a hard-working individual with motivation who can work within a team as well as individually.

Adam & Greenwood Funeral Home are proud to announce that we are taking part in the World's Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday 30th September from 10am - 12pm at our Chelmsford branch.
Come and help us raise money in aid of a great charity with teas, coffees and cake! There will also be a competition to take part in and our friendly staff to chat to.

Tomorrow, Saturday 20th August, Adam & Greenwood at Chelmsford have organised a charity car wash sponsored by Essex Air Ambulance with all funds being donated straight to this amazing cause. There will also be a raffle to win a hamper of goodies!

Burial Service at Herongate Wood for Frank Howell on 12th July 2016 conducted by Adam & Greenwood Funeral Directors "Every aspect was excellent, AGW was brilliant"

Here are a selection of photo's taken at our Concert. With the support of our staff and the amazing music for the Police Band we managed to raise £774.79. This money will used to help the three local Hospices. Thank you for attending and being so generous.

What a lovely peaceful, I think my Mother would of loved it. Always nice to visit to see how things are going and the staff are always super helpful.

We buried our daughter there ten years ago, and we received excellent service. Its a lovely place to visit, it was never too morbid to bring our other children to, and its fantastic to see how the wood is now becoming established.



My only gripe is that I think that the management should be stricter on the planting permitted on graves. Too many look like miniature gardens or shrines, which somewhat undermines the ethos of a green burial ground.

The staff here are lovely, always welcoming and the burial ground is so peaceful and looks wonderful any time of year.

Perfect, beautiful, wonderful, thoughtful and caring are just some of the words said to me at our dads funeral. From start to finish it was unrushed, personal and truly unique. Thank you.

John Benee-a truely peaceful experience which I am sure my mother would have approved of. Our thoughts and wishes were respected from beginning to end and I cannot thank Michelle enough for the caring way in which she supported me and my family.

I recently laid my parents to rest at Herongate Wood and a difficult occasion was made so much easier by the kindness and understanding of all the staff, particularly Natasha. It is a beautiful site, peaceful and quiet. It is good to know that their resting place will be protected.

I am really thankful to Herongate Wood for the immense support they gave me and my family from start to finish during the funeral of my mum. On the day of the funeral I got let down by the organist I booked as I had a no show. The entire staff swung into action provided us with recorded hymns will could use and we didn’t even feel the absence of the organist. They were very supportive, very professional. I couldn’t ask for more. This is to say thank you very much to all the staff at Herongate Wood. God bless you for making a stressful time easy to get through. �

A beautiful and peaceful place to lay loved ones. They cover all different arrangements and help to take some of the stress of losing a loved one away.

We went over to Herongate Wood Cemetery yesterday with my children and family to plant some plants under the tree we have for my husband Nigel who we lost a year ago. It is lovely and peaceful over there. Well looked after and staff are very helpful if you need them. We had the service held there last year through Adam and Greenwood funeral directors in Billericay. The staff were very helpful and caring would recommend them.
